Message from the Minister
News & Views 1. Our stewardship emphasis is drawing to a close regarding the 2010-11 operating budget. Thus far, $8.9 million is pledged-committed-estimated for the new fiscal year. If you have not returned your commitment, estimate-of-giving, for the 2010-11 fiscal year, please do so ASAP. 2. Our VBS I begins June 7 and ends June 11, 12:30-3:30. We remain in need of more volunteers! Please call Dianne Hylton at 770-971-5074. Our VBS kids will sing during worship on June 13. 3. Our July 4 Worship Service will be at 11:00 in the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to participate. There will be no Sunday School and no other worship services on this Sunday. 4. Our VBS II is July 19-July 23, 9:30-12:30. Yes, we also need more volunteers for this session as well. The family night/fun night is Wednesday, July 21. The food will be catered and "jumpy things" will be here for the kids. Our VBS kids will sing during the July 25 worship services. 5. Camp Hope is set for July 11-16. 6. Our Fall Kick-Off is set for Sunday, August 8 at 10:30 under the tent on the "Fields of Dreams." We will all enjoy worshipping together during this single service. Afterwards, we will pose for a church photo and enjoy a picnic! 7. Our Fall Sermon series on "Navigating Life" will begin on August 8 and continue for 8 weeks. This Fall series will generate a discussion-study format for Sunday School classes and Life Groups. 8. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 2, for the Habitat Road Race and Fall Festival here at Mt. Bethel. We hope to have 1,000 runners and build two houses this year!
Mt. Bethel is an exciting, happening, compassionate, fun place to work together for the Cause of Christ. Randy

Missions Ministry
Thank
You, Mt. Bethel! There
has been a wonderful response to our West Virginia mission trips this year--so
much so that we have added two more for a total of six teams which will be
serving the needs of the severely poor in this Appalachia region of our own
country. If you have a small group that would like to consider participating,
contact Larry Armstrong for more details. Also, your generosity
has resulted in our collection trailer being filled several times with clothing
and household items. The need continues. Please pack your items in travel-ready
boxes with the contents marked outside the box. And please be sure to put them
inside the trailer and not outside the trailer on the parking lot. Do you know
someone moving or having a garage sale? Ask them to consider donating items
they no longer use which might be useful to, or brighten up the day of someone
much less fortunate than we are.
