Message from the Minister
We have been discussing the parables that deal with the Kingdom of God in the Sanctuary the past few weeks. The parables reflect the Kingdom as already being here and we just need to discover it. They also reflect the Kingdom as coming in the future and we need to prepare for it. Some of the parables end with the question, "What do you believe?" Here's something for all of us to consider: "I Believe . . . You should give people second chances. True love is there from the start. Good things will happen to people who work hard. Great things happen to people who never give up. Silence will teach you something if you will listen. I Believe . . . The heart leads you in the right direction if you follow it. God will help you if you believe in Him and trust Him. One's stewardship reflects our belief and trust in God. Love causes one to be a faithful steward. I Believe . . . You need to take time to have fun. Kids could teach adults many things, if adults would listen. That money cannot buy happiness. Books can take you anywhere. Jokes have to be there to keep people sane. I Believe . . . Jesus Christ is worth any sacrifice on my part. True friends will last a lifetime. That you have to love yourself before you can love others. Knowing Jesus Christ as a true friend causes one to be worthy of love. A simple smile can make anybody's day better . . . "
See you Sunday at the trusting, loving, smiling place that reflects God's Kingdom! Randy

Whole Patrol of Eagles - It's very rare for an entire Boy Scout
Patrol to achieve the highest rank in scouting together, at the same
time. Mt. Bethel's BSA Troop 1011 celebrates this remarkable
achievement this Sunday, March 21, at 1:45 in the Sanctuary. The Cherokee
Patrol is the patrol these eight young men formed when they joined Boy Scouts.
They have worked together and stayed together for all of these years. They
helped and encouraged each other at every turn and now they have reached the
highest award Scouting gives, the award of Eagle. Congratulations George
Merriam, Joseph Privateer, Alex Walgren, Connor Crank, Kirk Malcolm, Preston
Ehlers, Benjy Stamberger, and Jonathan Gopel (Jonathan's ceremony will be
held at a later date). God bless you and thank you for inspiring us all to
become more than we are. We are proud of you.

Music Ministry
M&M's . . . Music and Missions -
What do free chocolate and spare change have in common? A little goes a long
way . . . and a little of each will take the youth choir all the way to New
York! One A-Chord will be distributing tubes of M&M's after the morning
services. . . enjoy the M&M's, then begin to fill the tube with your spare
quarters. Every time you drop a quarter in the tube, say a prayer for one of
the aspects of our upcoming choir tour to New York City. When the tube is full,
return it to the Church Office or the Music Office. You'll not only be
supporting the students financially, but you'll be sending them off completely
covered in prayer!

opportunity to serve is in Kenya, East Africa. Each intern pays for their
transportation to and from Kenya, along with their daily costs. The Internship
program is a ministry to encourage them in prayer as they discern God's call,
assist them in making contact, sharing opportunities, placing them with optimal
ministries, answering questions, prayer support and encouragement for them AND
their families while they serve. If you have any questions or are interested in
participating or supporting any of our participants, please contact Gaylyn Kelly, Director of Young Adult/College Ministry.

Opportunity
Knocks for Youth has urgent needs for male mentors for at-risk teens in 2
areas:
1)
One-to-one mentoring of foster care teens who reside in group homes. These
teens typically reside at the home from 9 to 18 months. You would work with an
assigned male teen to support & encourage his education, choices, goals,
& plans. Requirements would normally be attending our once a month
youth/mentor meeting (first Thursdays @ 6:00 pm) and a contact - phone or
personal- weekly.
2)
Join a "mentoring team" that would provide same for a group home with
short-term stay male teens. Duration of their stay is 2 weeks to 3 months. We
envision a monthly activity with the teens plus the regular monthly meeting.
The home has 3 to 6 residents at a time and we would NOT be assigning mentors
to a specific teen. This mentoring team can be quite flexible since not
all team members need not attend every activity. Please contact Dale Champion,
Director - 678-641-1968 or Bill Spell, Mentor coordinator - 404-245-2274. Thank you.
The
HOPE Center is in need of a washer, dryer and an under-the-counter type
dishwasher for their new facility. If you know of anyone who is getting
new and wants to donate please contact Sue Stone, 770-977-3273.
