| Greetings! Welcome to yours2share's January 2008 newsletter. In this edition:
Sharing dogs yours2share's latest sharing category is pets (primarily for dogs and horses). Ads have already been posted for sharing horses and they are quickly generating replies. The first version of the guidance for sharing dogs is complete. As this is a new category, there are few ads to date, but if you are looking to share a dog, do post an ad. As you probably already know, yours2share is completely free and easy to use. I have deliberated for months about creating a section to share dogs. Throughout the last year I have been asked about sharing dogs far more than any other category. I have two dogs of my own and I was concerned that sharing could lead to circumstances that are not in the dog's best interests. I hope that yours2share will enable people to find the right partners that they could only otherwise find in an ad-hoc manner, by asking friends and family. If you have any comments you would like to add, please contact me. The dog sharing guidance is definitely a work in progress, but then so is the whole yours2share website. Forecasts for 2008 A couple of articles have caught my eye in the last couple weeks. JWT, an advertising agency, has released its "80 things to watch in 2008". It makes thought-provoking reading as well as being highly amusing. "Co-operative consumption" apparently means sharing and "fractionalising". Well, it's good to know JWT agrees with me and thinks this is going to grow in importance this year. My bank manager didn't fully understand when I tried to explain the significance of this yesterday. I haven't managed to work out what "sturking" means yet, I can't wait for "Sex and the City: the movie" and I reckon Keira Knightly must be pleased. Unfortunately they were wrong about Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto, and I completely agree with "Pets in the office". What is luxury? I enjoyed reading Fine Living: The new luxury - it's not about excess, it encapsulated many of my own views about the real meaning of luxury. I'm going to keep an eye out for PJ Bremier's writing in future. Blogging the yours2share rollercoaster I've started to keep a blog, something I've been considering for ages. It will concentrate on the day-to-day rollercoaster of idiotically trying to run a website like yours2share single-handed. Maybe it will help preserve my sanity. And finally, here are a few of yours2share's recent ads that I really like:
