| Hello Welcome to yours2share's end of September newsletter. In this edition:
Read about us in the Times and the Sunday Times Both the Times and the Sunday Times have been sufficiently impressed by yours2share to have written about us in two recent articles. The first entitled Share a millionaire lifestyle appeared in the Money section of The Times on the Saturday 8th September and the second entitled Share and share alike appeared in the Property section of the Sunday Times on Sunday 16th September. We are talking to many other newspapers and magazines and expect several more articles to appear over the next few months. Car sharing One of the pleasures of running yours2share is the constant flow of new ways to share using fractional ownership and fractional rental. Once people understand what it can mean, they frequently respond with a completely new idea. Sometimes they ask if they could share something they don't own, usually indicating they'd like to own it but cannot afford or justify the cost. Pianos and sewing machines are two examples: these could easily be shared. Sometimes they already own the asset, which is a necessity but only for some of the time. They are usually already aware that the cost is hard to justify, but can't think of an alternative. This sparked a recent suggestion for car sharing. There are already lots of car clubs and a few fractional ownership specialists putting together people to own fractions of supercars. But the suggestion was much more mundane, but nonetheless probably has a greater appeal. Why don't families who have a second car get together with people who don't need a car for work? Many families have a second car so that "mum" can drive children around all week, whilst "dad" drives to work. The second car is little used at the weekend, because then the family uses "dad's" bigger car. I hope you will excuse the stereotypes. At the same time, lots of people who commute to work by public transport have no use for a car during the week, but would like to have a car at weekends. Can they get together and halve their costs? Owning and running a car is an expensive exercise: finding a way to reduce these costs substantially has to be a good idea. If you would like to share a car like this, please post an ad, or give me a call and I'll help you to post an ad. New phone number 07766 134 533 I apologise if you've tried to call us on the 0208 133 1234 number in the last couple of days, and got a number unobtainable tone. I've been in a telephone nightmare for the last fortnight. Firstly BT decided to cut through our line two weeks ago, along with a several thousand more, and then take a eight days to fix it. Fortunately this isn't the number I advertise for yours2share, but it was most inconvenient. Then I find that my SkpyeIn number (0208 133 1234) was not working for two days this week. This is disastrous as I've used this number on all yours2share's advertising, business cards etc. Unbeknownst to me when I bought the number, SkypeIn is still a beta system and known to be unstable. Yes, I can vouch for that. I still love Skype, and when SkypeIn works it's absolutely fantastic for a whole host of reasons. But be warned if you were thinking about using it for business purposes. So now I'm giving out my mobile phone number too. If you want to find out anything about yours2share and how it could work for you, please call me on 0208 133 1234. If this doesn't work, call 07766 134 533 and please send mental irritation waves to Skype.
