PFC GUNNAR HOTCHKIN
We are all saddened by the loss of a wonderful man, Gunnar Hotchkin, on June 16th in Afghanistan. For those of you who did not have a chance to attend the wake or funeral of PFC Gunnar Hotchkin, son of longtime Democratic leader Chris Hotchkin and her husband Randy, you can still celebrate his life by giving a small donation to his family to show your support.
The "Gunnar Hotchkin Memorial
Fund" has been set up at the Harris Bank of Hinsdale (IL), 50 S. Lincoln
Street, 60521, in support of Gunnar's wife, Erin, and their three children. Or you may send a donation directly to Chris at 6810 Carpenter Street Downers Grove, IL 60516.
We wish his family healing and honor his sacrifice especially as we commemorate the birth of our nation this the weekend.

WIN $1000 in the
DUPAGE
DEMS SUMMER RAFFLE
In these times, it is important
for an
organization to find several ways in which it can pay its bills to meet
its
goals. And we are asking you to get
involved, take seriously the task ahead of us and commit to
helping us
grow our
party and its resources, both human and financial.
Here's a great way to
do
that:
PLEASE come into the office to pick up
raffle tickets to buy or sell by September 1st
for the drawing at our next quarterly meeting on September 11th.
Each ticket holder has the chance to win:
1st prize $1000
2nd prize $500
3rd prize $250
4th-15th prizes $50
While you cannot sell the tickets door-to-door, you can make up a flier
of
introduction to be used when walking door to door and include the chance
to buy
the tickets in that flier. Then give your neighbors a callback to secure
their
donation. This also serves to alert them to our Democratic presence, to
give
them a list of the candidates running in their districts so they can
begin
recognizing their names, as well as to increase the possibility of their
joining forces with us to elect
these candidates.

your Pride in America by marching with the Lisle Township Democrats in the
Lisle 4th of July Parade. Participants will meet at 2:45 pm east of Yackley on
Ohio Street in Lisle. The parade steps off at 3:30 pm. If you have questions,

(July 4) Wheaton
and Glen Ellyn parades: The Democratic Party of Milton Township will be
sponsoring Dem floats in both Wheaton and Glen Ellyn on July 4. The Wheaton
parade is limited to 15 marchers, but there is still plenty of room for Glen
Ellyn (steps off at 2:00). For information on the Glen Ellyn parade, please

Park Parade- Join YTDO marchers! Ardmore & St Charles in the Jewel Parking
