A Word From Our Chair...
|
Dear DuPage Dems,
Last week, several of the officers and chairs of DPDC got a chance to truly kick-off the 2010 campaign season at the Illinois Democratic Chairs' Annual brunch and Democratic Day at the State Fair. It was a (literal) whirlwind of activity and we thank those who took the time to be there and especially to those who hunkered down as tornadoes threatened the area. Thanks to Alan Pirtle and Ben Young for the fantastic event and the work it took to make it a great day for over 1000 people!
Actually, it wasn't nearly as "stormy" as last year and a message of HOPE and re-invigorated purpose rang out in direct contrast to the Republicans message of fear-mongering and the offer of no solutions whatsoever.
Our own 2010 Kick-off will be held at the IBEW Hall in Warrenville on September 19th from 12-3:30. ALL Precinct committee(wo)men are encouraged to attend to meet our local as well as state candidates including our confirmed gubernatorial candidates Pat Quinn and Dany Hynes. We also encourage each PC to invite someone that they feel might make a good Precinct person. RSVP at info@dupagedemocrats.com to let us know you are coming and so we will have food and materials for all.
LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!!
Bob Peickert, Chair DPDC
