Dear DuPage Dems,
Sometimes we all like to think, and hope, that, eventually, things will begin to turn our way regardless of our input. But, ultimately, it is our own work, in concert with others, that brings about the changes we desire and doing that work as a team also increases the satisfaction of the achievement for everyone.
Of course, there are lots of reasons in our crazy lives why we don't get around to doing something but that reason rarely has anything to do with anyone else. You and I, alone, decide what goes into our own days and weeks, we prioritize what our time and energy are worth.
We hope that some of the time and energy you spend this spring and summer will go toward helping the Democratic Party in DuPage and your township thrive. There are so many ways this can be done--as you will see in the article below--and it can be a solo stint going door-to-door, or canvassing in fun groups, or bringing your family to Blue Fest, or getting your whole neighborhood organized and involved, or working here at the office, or going out to support other charities in Democratic regalia or sending in a little extra with your membership form this year.
The possibilities are really endless, but YOU have to do it, because it is important TO YOU. We hope you will join us in making DPDC grow this summer so that we will be ripe and ready for 2010!
THANKS!
Bob Peickert, DPDC Chair
