Dear DuPage Dems,
Well, we had a great WIN at the College of DuPage and that was due to a massive effort on the part of all townships and other stakeholders across the country. GOOD JOB!!!
We congratulate our own Kim Savage , chair of Downers Grove Township, who is now a new COD trustee. Fortunately, the two most noxious members of the present board were roundly defeated and now, with the four new trustees, rational minds will prevail and though it will be a struggle, new policies will surely result. I think it is very important that we continue to support the trustee board and attend the meetings which we will publicize as we go forward.
For now, we will celebrate our victories, look at the long game and get prepared for 2010!!

You have all been wonderful supporters of Northern Illinois Food Bank in one way or another and I just want to tell you about a fundraising event that we are putting together. This is a bowling tournament taking place in 12 communities across our service area. The top 3 teams from each of these rounds advances to our Championship Event on June 23rd in Buffalo Grove where we will feature Chicago sports celebrities like the Chicago Bears. You can view the flyer below for information on all of the dates and places; there is very likely a bowling alley participating near you! Teams of 5 people are only $300 and you can be a sponsor for just $500 or $1,000. This is a VERY fun way to support the Food Bank! Tell your friends and co-workers!
