2011 National Championship Travel Grants

For the fourth consecutive year, Pop Warner is pleased to announce it's able to offer Pop Warner Travel Grants for ELIGIBLE POP WARNER FOOTBALL TEAMS AND CHEER/DANCE SQUADS that have qualified for the Pop Warner Super Bowl or National Cheer and Dance Championships.

These grants are offered for the sole purpose of alleviating travel expenses and should serve as a motivator for other local businesses/sponsors to commit to supporting Pop Warner teams and squads whether through financial contributions or other in-kind resources. Additionally, as emphasized all season, fundraising efforts should remain a primary focus for all groups.

The Deadline for 2011 Travel Grants, as well as the Football & Spirit Statement of Acceptance, is Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 5 p.m. EST.

Panini-Pop Warner NFL Sticker Collection Promotion

Panini, the exclusive trading card and sticker partner of Pop Warner, would like to thank all that signed up for their 2011 Pop Warner NFL Sticker Collection Team Kit! There’s still time to win some fabulous prizes from Panini.

Teams that collect and send 3,000 sticker wrappers to Panini America will be eligible to win a Panini team sponsorship with new football uniforms and helmets! Collect the sticker wrappers and have your team administrator submit them to Panini by November 17.

Last year, Panini’s Pop Warner NFL Sticker Collection outfitted the Cape Vikings Pop Warner team of Delaware with new football helmets in an effort to promote concussion awareness. This year, Panini has incorporated Pop Warner into the 2011 NFL Sticker Collection!

Additional sticker albums and packets are currently available for purchase at retailers across the nation, as well as online at www.iCollectPanini.com.

Recreational Cheerleading Magazine Is Looking for
Cheerleaders for Our “Let’s Hear It” Panel

How about someone that likes to be vocal about hot topics in cheer and in the daily news headlines? What about that person that is always sharing great cheer tips? The Let’s Hear It panel will be an exclusive panel of cheerleaders in the rec cheer world who will share their thoughts and opinions with cheerleaders, coaches, and cheer parents all over the world. More than 2,000 Pop Warner Coaches Complete
ASEP Coaching Courses in Inaugural Year

Since the launch of the new Pop Warner online coaching education courses in August, more than 2,000 Pop Warner affiliated football and cheer & dance coaches have earned their certificate of course completion. Pop Warner has established a leadership role in youth football and cheer by requiring all head coaches to pass the courses to foster a safe learning environment for its young participants and further the educational mission of Pop Warner.

The training is delivered through the online courses Coaching Youth Football: The Pop Warner Way and Coaching Youth Cheer and Dance: The Pop Warner Way, developed and delivered by Pop Warner Little Scholars in conjunction with leading coaching education provider American Sport Education Program (ASEP). The courses are available through the dedicated website Pop Warner Little Scholars Coaches Education Center found at www.PopWarnerCoaching.com.
