2010 Banquet & National Convention Just a Few Days Away!

2010 Scholastic Banquet:

The 2010 Pop Warner Scholastic Banquet kicks off this Friday, May 28 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We have recently announced the complete list of award recipients for this year's event, including Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, sports broadcaster Bonnie Bernstein, Giants wide receiver Sinorice Moss and several other who will help Pop Warner celebrate its 50th Anniversary Scholastic Banquet.

The winners of the 2010 Scholar Presenter Contest were also recently announced, and eight lucky scholars will present a host of awards that will be given out this year. This year's winners are:

  • Brittany Busby (6th Grade) - Tri-Town Pop Warner
  • Sid Hollis (5th Grade) - East Orange Jr. Jaguars Pop Warner
  • Victoria Marie Failla (5th Grade) - Old Bridge Knights Pop Warner
  • Ryan Kenis (5th Grade) - West Volusia Pop Warner
  • Adam Jankowski (6th Grade) - Burlington Pop Warner
  • Katie Watson (5th Grade) - San Antonio Saints Pop Warner
  • Gregory Ward (6th Grade) - Bowie Broncos Pop Warner
  • John Buchholz (5th Grade) - South Lake Tahoe Pop Warner

2010 National Convention:

We are also just a few short days away from our Inaugural Pop Warner National Convention. We have a great lineup of speakers and events for you at the Downtown Marriott in Philadelphia on May 27-29th, so if you haven't already, sign up now to reserve your spot for this year's convention.

Every attendee will receive a free registration bag, lanyard and gift item and is welcome to attend Thursday Night’s opening reception at the Marriott sponsored by Calibre. Don’t miss out on the complimentary tour of the nearby Schutt Facility in Easton, Pa. on Thursday morning where you can see the innovative Schutt helmet production technology right up close. Free transportation and lunch will be provided to all attendees. 

Attendees can take advantage of a number of great clinics, and hear from prominent speakers such as the Koresh School of Dance in Philadelphia, Temple University Assistant Head Coach Mark D'Onofrio, noted neurosurgeon and former NFL physician Dr. Julian E. Bailes, M.D. and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Community Relations Coordinator, Kevin Brown. Furthermore, Philadelphia Eagles players' Winston Justice and Omar Gaither will be holding a special autograph session presented by Modell's.
