Let none deceive or despise another anywhere. Let none wish harm to another, in anger or in hate.

Just as a mother would guard her child, her only child, with her own life, even so let me cultivate a boundless mind for all beings in the world.

Let me cultivate a boundless love for all beings in the world, above, below, and across, unhindered, without ill will or enmity.

Where the Planets are Now

The SUN is in Pisces until March 19th.

MERCURY is in Pisces. It enters Aries March 2nd. Mercury will retrograde on March 12th and turn direct April 4th.

VENUS is in Aries. It will enter Taurus on March 5th.

MARS is retrograde in Virgo. It turns direct April 13th. Mars will enter Libra July 3rd.

JUNO is in Sagittarius. It will retrograde March 24th and re-enter Scorpio May 16th. Turning direct July 30th Juno re-enters Sagittarius September 16th.

CERES is in Aries until April 9th when it will enter Taurus.

PALLAS ATHENA is in Pisces until May 17th, 2012 when it enters Aries. Due to its retrograde July 30th by October 3rd Pallas regresses back into Pisces. Turning direct November 20th Pallas re-enters Aries January 10th, 2013

VESTA is in Aries until April 30th when it enters Taurus.

JUPITER is in Taurus until June 11th 2012 when it will enter Gemini.

SATURN is retrograde in Libra. June 25th Saturn turns direct June 25th. October 5th, 2012 it enters Scorpio.  

CHIRON is in Pisces. It enters Aries April 19th 2018 but it will regress back into Pisces September 27th and not re-enter Aries until February 19th 2019.

URANUS is in Aries where it will supercharge our reality with ultimate transcendence until May 15 2018 when it enters Taurus.

NEPTUNE is in Pisces. It enters Aries March 30th 2025.

PLUTO is in Capricorn. From March 23rd 2023 until November 19th 2024 Pluto will dance back and forth direct retrograde direct from Aquarius to Capricorn, Capricorn Aquarius before it finally enters Aquarius.

Once there was a king whose wife was often unfaithful to him. His fool Quevedo made several ill-timed jests on the topic during a dinner, and the king, in a rage, sentenced him to be executed. This was very unlike the king; he was fond of Quevedo and knew that his fool had often saved him from many a misstep by a wry comment that made his court laugh and cost him no face. The king would be sorry to lose such a subtle advisor.

Then again, he could not reverse his own edict. He was the king.

Instead, he announced that for his many years of service, Quevedo would be granted a boon. He would be given leave to play a jest on the king, any jest he liked, but then he must apologize for it in such a way that the apology would be even more inappropriate than the joke.

Quevedo, facing death, racked his brain to come up with the right jest and apology. He could think of nothing. The date of his execution loomed nearer, and the king looked sterner and more sorrowful by the day, but he would not budge his verdict.

Finally, two days before his execution, Quevedo thought of a brilliant jest, a truly terrible, sick, inappropriate jest. He would never have dared to pull such a jest in the days when he was in favour, but now he had nothing to lose, and his life to gain.

Quevedo hid behind a curtain. As the king passed by, Quevedo leaped out and slid his hand into the front of the king's trousers. The king slapped him away, amazed and disgusted. Adjusting his belt, the king thundered, "Quevedo! What is the meaning of this?"

"I beg your pardon, Majesty," Quevedo replied. "I thought it was the queen."

The Fool's Leap

That particular story ends without revealing whether or not Quevedo was saved. But that is not the point. Whether he was saved or not, he took the fool's leap. Before you embark on any venture, there is a moment when you put your neck out there, when you do the best you can and bedamned to the consequences.

You may fail. You may succeed. But in that moment, you are suspended in midair, having decided that no matter how many fell before you or how many will fall after; there's no reason this particular leap shouldn't result in flight.

Hannen Swaffer was nicknamed "The Pope of Fleet Street" and known for his three "isms" - socialism, journalism and Spiritualism. Swaff, as he was affectionately known, wrote the first lead story for "Psychic News" in 1932. He and Maurice Barbanell, its founding editor, addressed thousands of people in countless venues throughout the UK in the 1930s. Maurice Barbanell was the medium for Silver Birch, whose home circle was named after Hannen Swaffer.

We will now pay a visit to the circle, which met at the medium's flat in NW London. The first question Silver Birch answers is, "How do you call one another in the spirit world?" Other questions put to the spirit sage appear in italics.

We are given names, when we get beyond the pull of earth, according to our attainments, so that the name is an expression of our spiritual growth and evolution. These do not matter. We recognise one another for what we are.

Is it true that persons can reincarnate into different races, thereby losing trace of their loved ones? This would appear to be a great calamity.

It does not present a proper picture of what is involved in reincarnation. It is not a calamity because all human earthly relationships do not necessarily endure. When the Nazarene was in your world and they told him about his mother being present, he asked: "Who is my mother? Who is my father?"

The larger soul never incarnates n its entirety in matter. That portion of which you are aware in an earthly body is only a splinter and not the whole. Other splinters may incarnate at different periods and in different nationalities. The splinters may have earthly and even astral relationships, but these need not be a spiritual relationship.

What will always endure is the love, not the blood tie. If there are love and the blood tie, then the bond, because it is a willing bond, will continue. If there is a blood tie and there is no love, then the separation has taken place spiritually on earth and will continue in the worlds beyond yours.

Do people have the same guides and helpers throughout their life or as they develop spiritually do the guides change?

It is dependent upon the work that has to be done. The guiding spirit - and we always work with groups or bands - is the one selected as the spokesman. If the task involved is to develop a particular form of mediumship, that guiding spirit will prevail throughout the whole of the earth life.

If the development is only a phase and there are other phases to be embraced, then other members of the group will advance to the fore.

You talk of the Great Spirit as "the law," and yet when you pray, you use the term "Thee," implying a personality. To a lot of people this is rather conflicting.

This is the difficulty of language, to attempt to express finite words that which is infinite and thus beyond language. Spirit, being superior to matter, cannot be contained in matter. The lesser cannot include the greater.

To me, the Great Spirit is the law, the intelligence, the power which is responsible for the whole of the universe and all that it contains. That spirit is neither male nor female. That spirit is not possessed of personality in the sense that you understand personality.

But the Great Spirit is not impersonal in the sense that you cannot reach that power. You are an essential part of the Great Spirit, as the Great Spirit is an essential part of you.

In order to help to understand in some measure what is involved, we are forced to use some of your earthly expressions, but always we are conscious of the limitation of language to express what is beyond all language.

Is the Great Spirit more than an aggregate of His own creation?

Yes, with the proviso that creation is constantly expanding and an infinite process. It is not an accomplished fact. It is a fact that is always growing.

So that the Great Spirit Himself is also growing to perfection?

The part of the Great Spirit which is expressed in evolution must undergo the evolutionary processes because infinity fills the whole universe. No part of the universe can be absent from the Great Spirit, of which it is an integral part.

What settles the time of our entry into the next world? If nothing can keep us here longer than our appointed time, is this the reason why spirit healing cannot effect a cure sometimes?

Yes, it is one of the reasons. The question of spirit incarnation into matter and what should be its natural withdrawal from matter, is governed by natural laws. You can, particularly with death, cause a premature passing, but that would not be in harmony with the natural law.

The soul itself knows when it is to be incarnated and when it is to learn your world, even though you may not be consciously aware of these facts. If it is time for the spirit to quit the body, which is inevitable a part of the law of life, then no healing - I speak generally now - can compel it to stay.

You must remember that the whole subject of spiritual healing is a highly complex one, that primarily it is designed not to heal bodies but to touch souls, and all disease has a part to play in man's unfoldment.

Disease and health are necessary for the experiences of human souls. These are very controversial issues.

I cannot understand why disease should be necessary. I can see a time when man has perfected himself so that he can live a life of health without disease. If I understand you aright, disease is breaking the law.

There are always infractions of the law. If man were to live for the whole of his earthly life in perfect harmony with the law, then he would have achieved perfection on earth. You will not achieve perfection on earth because earth is imperfect.

Earth is the school where you come to learn. You can learn only through comparison, through experiences of sunshine and shadow, of storm and peace, of love and hatred, of good and evil, of health and sickness, of well-being and pain. Only through comparison and the struggle that is entailed thereby can the soul come into its own.

Do the spirit people see us as we see each other or can they only see our etheric body and not our physical body?

It is a good thing that we do not always see you as you see one another. We see you as spiritual beings.

Your body is shadowy to us, that is unless we choose deliberately to view you through earthly eyes as when controlling a medium. Then we can view you on the physical plane because we have become physical for the time being.

Some Spiritualists talk of countless spheres in the next world. Others say there are only seven. Who is right?

The use of the word "spheres," like all attempts to define the indefinable spirit, is misleading. There are no geographical spheres. There are states of consciousness, each merging into the other as the soul evolves into deeper states of consciousness.

There is no line of demarcation because progress, unfoldment and evolution are not determined in a series of leaps and bounds, but by a very gradual sloughing off of the coarser as the more spiritual takes the forefront.

It may well be that in early days, for the purpose of simplification; they attempted to explain that there were spheres, some corresponding to your world, some to the lower spheres than your world and others higher. But these are not arbitrary locations in space.

If pain is due to karma, what happens to the karma when the pain is relieved by spirit healing?

The questioner begs the question. If the pain is due to karma, then the pain will not be relieved until the karma is fulfilled. It cannot be any other way.

An orthodox Christian, a very good woman, has returned to a medium after death and appeals for help, saying she is living in greyness. Why should such a good woman be living in greyness, presumably because she never had the opportunity of learning of survival?

If the communication is genuine and she is living in darkness or greyness, that is a reflection of her own soul's evolution. You cannot cheat the natural law. The eternal standard of goodness does not always coincide with earth's standard of goodness.

Viewed with the eyes of the spirit, there are many happenings in your world which you regard as bad that we would think rather good and many that you think are good and we think are bad.

Some churches say a man is good because he has given blind consent to some formulated doctrines, thus stifling all the essence of religion because he can be a blackguard for the rest of his days. He is not good, though he may think he is.

There is a fundamental goodness which has nothing to do with that standard, and it is the fundamental standard which will prevail. There are two kinds of ethics and morality. There is the morality that can be political, economic or customary and there is the morality which is determined only by spiritual factors. It is the spiritual factor that will prevail.

Why should so many communicators flatly contradict each other?

You are communicating with human beings. You are not communicating with archangels who have attained to summits of wisdom.

You are communicating with beings on different levels of evolution and the information they are relaying is based on what they have experienced. They themselves will contradict some of it when later experience provides a different answer.

So many people come to our world with fixed ideas as to what it is like. Whilst they retain their fixed ideas, it is like what they think it is. If they can express their views, they do so. But there cannot be a contradiction on the fundamentals.

Many Spiritualists still cling to the idea of Jesus being part of the Godhead and the saviour of the world. Does this not clash with our seven principles?

I am a believer in the greatest possible tolerance and liberty, that those who think one set of words will help them should follow that path and that those who believe otherwise should follow their path.

Words do not matter; doctrines are unimportant; it is only truth that counts. All of us, whether in your world or in ours, can only see very small portions of infinite truth. The more we see, the more we realise there is to be seen and the more tolerant we become.

I would like you to comment on the part of the Lord's Prayer which says, "Lead us not into temptation."

That is a mistranslation. There is no spirit that leads you into temptation. You do that of your own accord.

If I may make my own comment these questions should how much farther some individuals have to go. They are bound by words, by a book and by a Church.

We are not concerned with all these limitations. We are striving to make spiritual beings realise that, like the Great Spirit, they too are infinite and must outgrow all these childish conceptions of spiritual realities.

Man must strive to master eternal truths. He cannot master them whilst he clings to shibboleths and is afraid to discard a creed, a word, a book. These may be helpful while the mind is still in the infant stage, but, even as the Bible itself says, you put away childish things.

Is it possible for a developing medium to start rescue work?

It is most undesirable for such labour to be indulged in by those who are undeveloped. Successfully to accomplish the rescue of souls in the dark or grey levels requires the use of a highly developed instrument.

If undeveloped mediums attempt the task, they may get themselves involved in obsession and many other undesirable practices.

Would you like to comment on guardian angels?

From the moment of birth into your world, there is attached to every incarnating soul a spiritual being who is, in effect, the guardian angel.

Sometimes, this may be one who is a member of the family, in your sense of the word. At others times, it may be a soul which has some affinity. But always there is a unity of interest that makes an attraction.

As to how close that association becomes is dependent upon the spiritual growth of the individual in your world. Where there is no consciousness a guardian angel, then it is only through bringing spirit power that results can be attained.

If there is no conscious cooperation, it has to be an unconscious one. The help that comes from our world can be directed only spiritually, hoping to make its impact whenever the conditions are appropriate.

In late February and March the days grow longer but the late winter light is usually weak and flat under cloudy skies. Weather is normally changeable, unreliable and tempestuous. We see the first delicate late-winter flowers, a tantalising glimpse that brings us delight. Winter winds and watery storms blow through budding trees and bushes. It is at this time of year that tender saplings take root so it might be good to work on our grounding too.

This is the dreaming season. Pisces represents the spiritual letting go of ego and fixed individuality through further levels of existence. It is the selfless and unlimited distribution of emotional and intangible experience into a less personal realm of understanding. This is the time to dissolve, drift and allow. We have the opportunity to let go of everything we have attached ourselves to for the last year or more if we want.

This sign is irrational, empathetic, mystical, elusive, faithful, sensitive and illusionary. Under its influence we can go to the height of fantasy or give into the depth of hopelessness. The fish scales represent the only protection surrounding Piscean vulnerability. This means we may have difficulty with personal boundaries. Ultimately Pisces is mystical perception and dreamlike poetic introspection.

There are some sign changes this month, Mercury and Vesta give us a real boost entering Aries and Venus warms us with Taurean energy. Mercury begins one of its retrograde journey's that will send it back into Pisces with an especially important evolutionary quest. Simultaneously there will be a positive influx of high energy. We will feel pushed by this influence. It is important to take time to be certain. A lot of good can come of making the best of it. It gives me the feeling of coasting down a steep hill on a bike with one foot dragging on the ground as a tentative brake. Enjoy the ride!

18TH One of the ruling planets of Pisces has come home after 165 years. This is one cycle following its discovery in 1846. We can now say we have experienced the planet from every angle. Neptune is symbiotic with the ending of the Piscean Age. It is signalling that we are now creating a new mandate for our faith based beliefs. So when I speak of the Sun entering Pisces it must include the influence of this Piscean planet that it will pass at the gateway. We are emotional and intensely compassionate; guided by altruistic feelings. We are less activated, and more motivated by our instincts. A "what will be, will be" attitude works well with this to guide us by a sense of universal correlation. This is a good time to connect on an intimate level with others and also cultivate our creative instincts. We will be tolerant, patient and more trusting. We have more empathy, selfless love and devotion; or use more wisdom. Because the highest and the lowest exist together in our world the lowest expression of this influence is the scam. Others can take advantage of sensitivity which ends up hurting our feelings. Beware of the shadow side of this energy because it produces self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, passivity and elusiveness.

19TH Revolutions wind down to be reborn. Social systems continue to break down. The disenfranchised or disadvantaged members of society regroup. We enter a planning stage that will develop our strategies. Technology becomes a major part of our preparation or involvements. We are putting equipment together, designing systems and or creating a flow. There is no end to the electronic upgrade of programs, systems, and hardware as usual. At the same time there is a streak of unpredictability, chaos and shocking breakthrough penetrating the flow. This is a little unsettling to the nervous system. We gain a broader understanding of gender identity inspired by flashes of insight.

21ST The New Moon will help us to act on our perceptions, inner knowing or psychic impressions. We can see beyond the appearance of things and sense what is unspoken. Knowledge can hurt us if we are not in the right frame of mind. Understanding human psychology we are more philosophical, tolerant and encouraging. Lowered states and dark sides can, however, get a grip of those who are unable to alter their state. People reveal the contents of their mind and thoughts in nervous haste. Governments make moves that the public do not know about. Germs and viruses are virulent. Stay on the bright side and create a positive flow through the obstacles. Be aware but objective and detached. Above all else, do not take things personal.

23RD We are likely to feel some stress when we try to implement our plans. We are out of our element, the way we plan things is quite different from the way we usually go about doing them. It will be natural to feel that either our ability to handle detail or the overall plan is at fault but this is not so, except within our own mind. We need to take the time to develop confidence.

It is easy to feel alienated from others. Work demands or issues regarding rules and expectations create barriers. We exhibit self-control and self-discipline in connection with our career. There can be deadline/timing problems and other work-related obstacles. We need to separate our consciousness from father issues and see our father with more objectivity. Conundrums and contradictions involve tradition and responsibility versus devotion and ideals. If what is required does not acknowledge our free expression there is paradox and disharmony. There might not be a single fix. Repeated adjustments are required to find resolution. This can still frustrate harmony and balance but the effort stimulates a lot of personal growth and awareness.

25TH Vesta is kicking off a new cycle of the zodiac. It enters Aries where it will motivate humanity to redefine commitment, dedication, devotion, focus, passion and ambition while maintaining a fast pace. We are concerned with home, hearth, safety, protection and securing the borders of our territory. We need to go inward, get in touch with ourselves, and tap into our sense of dedication and commitment to initiate our own projects and causes with dedication, zeal, and even sacrifice. We can focus quickly and intensively on any task. We are motivated for direct action. But one-pointedness can focus off centre and be out of touch. We need to constantly re-anchor our initiatives. We want to win and will perceive challenge even when there is none. We feel more self-contained, fiercely independent and perhaps even aggressively aloof. We find the power within to establish our self and do not require as much help from others. This focus can engage in warlike activity. High action-packed sports are attractive entertainment choices.

The Crescent Moon is passive aggressive. Personal perspectives can get blown out of proportion. We are easily hurt and suspect the worst. There are too many barriers to feeling loved, cherished and treasured. Even if it were right in front of us we might not recognise it. Our wounds and dysfunctions will flare up. For those of us working on themselves there can be positive progress. Others who are less aware of themselves will be fearful, suspicious and confused. Nonetheless we will all form creatively inspired new agreements, commitments and convictions through one process or another. A mixture of flexibility and self-restraint renders the most positive long term results. Humour helps in the short term.

27TH Since April of 2011, with a focus on December 2011, and including now we have been "seeing with the eyes closed". We are in pursuit of achieving communion, identity with, or conscious awareness of ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, or insight. This is a time of Illumination or Union {Christianity}, Irfan {Islam}, Nirvana {Buddhism}, Moksha {Jainism}, or Samadhi {Hinduism}; a mystical union. All of reality is merging in the One. Oneness in this experience is to achieve a larger identity and re-identify with all that is in a changed way. We can think beyond empirical perception or belief, logical reasoning or intellectual comprehension. Ask the Cosmos to be shown what "is" then believe it and re-identify through a process of ever new and more refined assurances and verifications. We can accomplish amazing feats that would normally take a lifetime. Turn disillusionment into enlightenment. This is the moment that precedes "now we are back". The ability to focus the imagination is good for the artist and scientist. The products of our visualization are attainable. We can face our limitations unemotionally.

We have some difficult choices to make. It is time to deal with our trappings and demands. Some things simply cannot persist as they are. Issues around idealism, ethics, fair play, equality, social justice, or other values are likely in our relationships. We are at odds with certain facets of convention, tradition, morals or ethics. Renewal replaces dysfunction with functionality. When things are at cross-purposes to each other it is important to remember they are not mutually exclusive. Our world view may conflict with others. We will deepen and strengthen ourselves through inclusivity. Societal role models of marriage will experience change.

28TH We will stand up for our right to "be different." We will affect change and turning points by being strategic in stating our differences. Willingness to meet another's standards or demands for approval will come to a change. As the evidence proves, some circumstances can be so out of the ordinary we have to suspend judgment by circumventing the usual criticisms and justifications. The uncharacteristic behaviour may be necessary. We have the opportunity to find keys to our personal healing and transformation. Art therapy can be used as a means of awakening self-awareness. We naturally gravitate to holistic and natural methods of healing. An initiation of sorts is likely.

When things are breaking down there is no either-or, right or wrong, black and white answer. We, as the collective, have a rare opportunity to co-create our reality. Hopefully inclusivity will find a way to satisfy the needs of everyone involved by participating in a co-committed way. Even where there is difficulty, we can create the beginnings of a very strong partnership in the future by working on our differences now. There are difficult choices and some conflict. We need non-traditional answers. For some father issues can surface to be let go. No need to carry these around throughout life. Whether male or female, we may find ourselves needing to claim our masculine side...in our own way...according to our own image. We can work things out with others and still remain true to ourselves.

29TH Happy Leap Year! The calendar gets adjusted to the our actual movement around the Sun. The First Quarter Moon presents us with a challenge when we are at a low ebb. We must pull on our willpower and muster our mind to focus on serendipity. It is not a matter of wanting to, we have to and this creates a crisis where there was none. We may go overboard. Think before acting. So realise first impressions are subjective. We are prone to consider the worst. Make no judgement of others. At best we lean toward dysfunctional at worst misguided and confused. We must try to keep our centre and gather ourselves to our core.

March 1st We are in a holding pattern so expect delays and frustrations. When we run into obstacles we overreact and over respond. Get better at dealing with them. If we give into dissatisfaction we suspect others, feel overruled or dominated therefore inadequate, incompetent and powerless. Our feelings and desires therefore can become confused and conflicted. Two parts of each of us need balancing, our willpower and our need to be cared for by others. For example, the need for bonding conflicts with the need for independence. Whatever we are faced with we need to turn this into staying power, endurance and fortitude. Work on transforming self-image; generate independence, confidence, courage, self-reliance and security in relations. Constant adjustment to changing circumstances will help to generate a flow.

2ND Taking the lead and initiating communication, pioneering new goals and boldly pushing forward comes natural to us with Mercury in Aries. We speak up or speak out and come to realise what we stand for. Confront the necessities; we need to break the silence. People's words are honest, raw, sharp, to the point and uncensored. Easily provoked by an unintentional suggestion there can be energetic surges and bursts in interactions. Harnessed to a focused goal-oriented direction much can be accomplished. The quickness and spontaneity of these energies recommends that caution is used when driving or congregating in public. People can be jackrabbits making bold unexpected moves in a single-minded way or they can be easily enraged. Good time to gather thoughts or pieces of paper and create a to do list. Attentive action accomplishes a great deal quickly.

In some way our previous actions come back to haunt us and we need to be responsible for our conduct and review our support systems. Judgements that measure us are remodelled. We will also examine, explore or reassess rules, regulations, guidelines, controls, responsibilities, boundaries and limitations. We can look at failure in a constructive way. We will turn things inside out to get to the core of the matter. Fear-based controls are in need of refashioning. We are frustrated, angry and bitter because of what has happened in the past. Some may experience a sense of paralytic immobilisation till they renegotiate their centre. Learn from mistakes, review investments and reformulate judgements. Be constructive; learn to trust the self.

3RD Career change would be a natural manifestation of this combination of energies. Establishing one's differences from others would be another. Certainly computers and electronic gadgetry are likely to become more important within the career. Reform brings innovation, new procedure, upset and a commitment to change. It is an excellent time to network, increase contacts through groups or meet new friends. We need more space or maybe more freedom for our devotion to a sense of the sacred. 4TH The Gibbous Moon usually pulls things together and in this case it is the unknown, unforeseen, our legacy or karmic issues. Revaluate old conditions on new terms. Reconstruct the past foundational constructs to support your future purposeful pathway. Forgiveness is liberating. People from the past can reappear or be present in the character and personality of someone in our present. Compassion and kindness can be misplaced and squandered. Critical junctures between people are catalytic. Put a positive spin on whatever comes and turn this energy into opportunity and advantage.

5TH With Venus in Taurus, romantic relationships that start now have a chance to build trust and loyalty into a predictable and dependable relationship. We are attracted to food and clothing, pampering the body, going to favourite places, creating cosy situations and staying away from fast-paced high-energy situations. If we feel unloved we spend our money on retail therapy. We want to give ourselves gifts and give others the hugs we need. This is a good time for body appreciation. Our hearts get opened to love. We come to accept our bodies with a higher self-esteem. In the flow we cultivate patience. We are simple and natural. We find our new groove. We spread our wings and explore a broaden sphere of interest.

Our unspoken quest is to understand our most supportive and nurturing bonds and the conflicts contained within them. It is a demanding insistence. But this deep desire for transcendent experience and artistic expression can place a large demand upon the frail human being. We have to come to terms with the illusionary obligations we place on others. Also, we can allow ourselves to be drained by trying to nurture needy people. Increased sensitivity and spirituality provides us with subtle perception and inspired imagination. It is imperative that we act on our inspirations. We must, however, feel that we deserve whatever we can generate on our own behalf or we will negate the whole process. Under pressure to attain this bonding, transcendent experience or artistic expression some form of escape can be the alternative temptation.

8TH The Full Moon is electric and energised. There could be high tension, stimulation or excitement. People are ready to pull out all the stops and dare to do and go where they have not before. We are motivated by a good time, seeking happiness and letting go of seriousness without forgetting our responsibilities. We connect with people who share a similar path. We enjoy meeting people we have met before. Destiny plays a hand in current events. There will be dinner parties, community and friendship circle gatherings and other feasts. An increase in artistic events will give everyone plenty of choices for entertainment.

We can bring things to a successful conclusion, optimise on advantage and luck, while also being practical resourceful and wise. Mediating comes naturally and is conducted creatively. We are gifted with increased patience, confidence, maturity and wisdom. Drawn to cultural or faith based solutions we are inspired. There is more interest taken in cultural traditions and belief systems for future use. We recognise past achievements and set broad far-seeing goals. Inner conflicts with regard to ambition or ethic will have some connection to the father image. Mental blocks and frustrations of the past do not seem to have any effect on future plans.

9TH Keeping the flame alive, whether it is the altar, hearth or other interest is important now. We can passionately commit ourselves to some role we have recently identified with. There are initiation and healing inclinations. We are drawn to the type of self-healing unique to us. We can enter a journey of awakening that puts us on our spiritual path. Our devotions will make us well. We will be prompted to make change in the definition of "space". We will follow our originality and undertake important change in a detached way. It is necessary to pull away to get on with groundbreaking work. A deep mystical connection with the earth and nature is nourishing. We learn to give ourselves the nurturing we lack. We find the keys, methods and insights that will shed light on our experience and the experience of others. We make inroads and progress on our quest.

10TH We seem to continue to need more space and distance in relationship for non-personal reasons. It is what we feel is necessary to fulfil our pursuits and devote ourselves to a focus. Strong feelings of devotion, pursuit of truth and value accompany this trend. There is an urge to marry, especially in long-term existing relations that are harmonious. Supportive relationships are highly valued. We may put all relations under close scrutiny and examine them with much honesty to make decisions.

Eager to pursue the inventive and artistic our intellectual expression will delve right into the core of the subject. It can be no holds barred with nothing considered too controversial or taboo. We explore rich and rare ideas; the masculine/feminine dance; life after death; and the idea of death itself. The mind is made more powerful. The ideas we create will influence others. These are positive influences that facilitate transformation, regeneration, self-empowerment as well as group work, rehabilitation of addiction and coming to terms with abusive or obsessive behaviours.

11TH We are at odds with ourselves and likely to feel some stress when we try to act on our plans. How we have planned things will differ from the way we will go about executing them. It will be normal to question our ability to handle detail or suspect the overall plan to be the fault. Mostly this is in the mind and with time we develop confidence and feel more able to proceed.

The Disseminating Moon gives us the impetus to disclose, reveal, share or disseminate knowledge. Intimate secrets are shared with our long standing significant other. There is support and transformational work being accomplished. These are exciting times. There will be unusual communications, extraordinary events and plans upset by various things. Enjoy the journey. Love is in the air. The singles are waking up to spring and looking around for companions. People are more likely to explore relations with those of other cultures or different backgrounds. We are looking for something different, something better than what we have had and also what is ideal. Show gratitude. Be curious.

12TH Mercury Retrograde is a good time for re-evaluating, redoing, rearranging, rebuilding, recovering, rediscovering, reviewing, repeating, renewing, restoring, repairing. We communicate internally with the Self, and go over things with a fine-tooth comb for anything overlooked. The breezy quality of Mercury can stir up the flames of Aries which lights our passions or sometimes puts our fire out. With this stoppage we need to take stock of our ideas, speech, communications and prudence. Focused on our goals and aspirations we need to find a decision that creates balance between doing something or simply talking about doing it. Transitions of career and changing goals will naturally evolve. Visionary awareness veers us away from the past by prompting us to take bold steps into a new future. By making these adjustments we will craft major change that emphasises our bold and innovative choices.

Very strong powers of reform and transformation give us no choice but to respond. Resistance is futile. There is need for freedom of agreement that integrates disagreement so new thinking can occur. But the ego can engage in overdrive. In this case the self is omnipotent. Then these energies create absolutes. Generally speaking we wish to make ourselves the centre of other people's systemisation. We are thereby less aware of the needs of those around us. We change circumstances or policies to suit ourselves. Unfortunately this influence has much to do with politics and financial systems. All too often our current Canadian political leader displays this centripetal privilege. Regrettably, whatever politicians or economic advisors and the financial institutions do now, they will meet with success. Only time will tell if this will affect us in a negative way. At present we do not have any say. If it goes too far there is danger of opposition and insurrection in the future. While this influence enhances insight, intuition and effective vision there is a lot of debris and conviction to get out of the way to receive it properly.

13TH We are revising our loyalties and strategies with regard to cause and activism. It is not so much that we are taking action, it is more about executing well thought out plans with strategic skill, confidence and objectivity. This is more about formulating the course to victory for our cause by forming creative alignments. We are considering a wiser distribution of our energy. We are far more aware of wise time management. Going back over previously expended actions and energy we are learning to hone this more effectively. Otherwise we are refining our expression of self by learning to access our inner strength and courage. Frustration, feelings of inadequacy, confusion or a feeling we cannot actualise our ideas will arise if we have blockages to clear. Do not rush forward with judgement for the obvious is not appropriate until this inner work is done.

14TH Normally we would have increased productivity, a rapid pace and a happy atmosphere. But some discord compromises us with delay, interruption, being held back or feeling hesitant. If something was not done properly in the past it will get snagged now. We can still proceed with new proposals and following new avenues of exploration. We get favourable credit and promotion from others but it lacks the lustre that it could have had if all things were polished. Rough and ready we still reap the rewards of past good karma. There are pleasant, happy, fortunate and beneficial experiences. If we have not been lucky for a very long time we have good odds in winning. This flow of energy can help to blow away the cobwebs of our subconscious which helps to regulate our physical strength. Be more philosophic and get a glimpse of the future. Seeing the self clearly helps.

An influx of power, drive and ambition pushes affairs to a successful conclusion but again not without a series of issues. The stressors at this time are retro; subject to reform. Rebirthing motivates longer range objectives. Awareness of global conditions assists this process. Politics looms large revealing its worst side. Power should not be used selfishly for personal benefit. To do so invites disaster. Effective ambitiousness will meet with opportunity for gain and success.

During the Last Quarter Moon when in doubt; do nothing. Not being sure whether to pull ahead or pull back it is best to hold our place. Once the conditions clear it will be obvious what to do. The unpredictable qualities of this time are due to inconsistencies and fluctuations. Our first impression has more to do with our own history than present tense intention. We have to work beyond our psyche's obstacles. It is easily done; it is like a mist clearing. Give each action, word or idea the space to reveal itself so it is not cloaked in an old pattern. Our assumptions, conclusions and immediate responses get in the way.

15TH The Ides of March Small challenges become magnified and compounded because of doubt, hesitation, holding back or simply discord. Confusion, riddle, paradox or puzzle interferes with consistency. Mistakes, misuse or neglect in previous circumstances come back to haunt us. We are not as brave as we would like to be when we run into blocks and obstacles that are meant to shift our focus. Masculine energy is repressed, apprehended or detoured most likely for purification and refinement but it can subdue the desire nature. Feelings and desires are confused and conflicted so we must consider changing our use of our energy. The better we are able to concentrate and direct our energy aligned with our will the easier and productive we will be. Some may resist and thereby experience impotence, inadequacy or aggressiveness. Others embrace the alchemical infusion and communion.

16TH Personal commitment to destiny is required to deal with the transformative urges of this time. Deep conflict affects our most cherished beliefs and traditions. Difficult decisions have to be made. We are striving toward becoming more relevant to the times in which we live. We are rebuilding the structure of society. Our old teachings fail to answer the needs of our times. We feel led to open new doors in search of deeper truth and experience. Organised religion is in conflict with this trend. They must deal with their history of abuse and other core issues. There can be stress, conflict and issues with power on a mass scale or the experience of earth change. Some can experience obsessive sexual compulsions, exaggerated fears of death, paranoia, and excessive self-absorption. One may also feel overly isolated from society. Addictions become so acute they get attention so intervention can occur.

18TH The Balsamic Moon is supercharged with perception, extrasensory perception, insightful vision and constructive suggestion. We are preparing to sow actual seeds for spring but consider reaping the seed ideas of inventive ingenuity. Many scattered thoughts together make one great idea. The computer brain has access to a vast resource of input. We likely cannot make use of the whole potential. We need to be very resourceful and intuitively alert. Thoughts and feelings come to us easily but we may not be calm and quiet, peaceful enough to hear them. Listen to the stillness so what is meant to be can be heard.
