Where Are
The Planets Now?
MERCURY is in Sagittarius until November 30th when it enters Capricorn. Mercury will retrograde December 10th.
VENUS is in Libra until November 29th when it enters Scorpio. Venus turned retrograde October 8th and regressed back into Libra November 7th. Venus is creating new tracks by December 20th.
MARS is in Sagittarius until December 7th when it enters Capricorn.
JUNO is in Virgo.
CERES is in Capricorn.
PALLAS ATHENA is in Sagittarius until December 20th when it enters Capricorn.
VESTA is in Scorpio until December 3rd when it enters Sagittarius.
JUPITER is in Pisces until January 22nd, 2011 when it will re-enter Aries.
SATURN is in Libra until October 5, 2012.
CHIRON After briefly touching Pisces in April Chiron has regressed back into Aquarius and will retrograde until November. Chiron will not fully enter Pisces where it will help us heal our spirit and all wounds until February 3rd, 2011. The Aries point will be reached April 19th 2018 but regression into Pisces occurs September 27th, 2018. So we will not begin a new era with Chiron until February 19th 2019.
URANUS is in Aries although its retrograde causes it to retreat back into Pisces August 13th; it will turn direct December 5th 2010 and find its way back into Aries by March 12th 2011 where it will supercharge our reality for about seven years.
NEPTUNE is in Aquarius all year. It is in retrograde until November 6th. It enters Pisces February 3rd, 2012 which should be a blessing for many.
PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2024

How to Use
The Planetary AlchemistThe Planetary Alchemist is broken down into four sections. First there is the Introduction where I give my thoughts on the month ahead in summary.

Calendar of Days with Influences is a journal that outlines the combining planets on the days they occur chronologically. By following this presentation we stay in tune as the month unfolds.
Finally, each sign has a forecast for the month starting with the sign the Sun is in now and progressing through each sign of the zodiac. Each Sign's Monthly Forecast is a series of koans that follow the chronological order of the journal of days with influences. The Sign Forecasts delineate the positions of the planets for each member of the zodiac and suggest how they will customise specifically in each case. Understanding how the days are influenced generally as well as specifically helps us to make articulate choices and understand others as well as ourselves. It is advisable to read the forecast for the Sun, Moon and Rising or Ascendant sign for your birth.

Listening Is a Psychic Art
If there is one thing that I have learned with astrology ~ that is to listen.
Listening is what astrologer's do.
Astrologers listen to the messengers in the Solar System as they interact with the Earth plane.
These include our occasional visitors, like comets and asteroids, as well as solar flares, meteor showers and the phenomena of eclipse or alignment. But listening is an art form. It will not do to ascertain a definition of the planets from a textbook and apply that literally or lineally to an event or human condition. Although this is what the student of astrology must be trained to do in order to develop their listening skills.
Astrological listening occurs at the molecular level. I guess you could form a relationship between the art of astrological listening and the art of acting. In acting we assume roles that have been written out for us as a play, movie script or as television shows. In astrology, the astrologer 'puts on' the planetary chemistry of their client in order to relate to their client and know what it is to be like to be them. Conversely, when dealing with past lives, reincarnational lessons and karmic conditions, the astrologer will regress with their psychic screen to relive the conditions of previous lives through the reactivation of the symbols involved. Diversely, the astrologer will put themselves in the client's position when looking at forecasting the future. Feeling responsible for the consequences of the alternatives, the astrologer processes the options and unfolding conditions as they are revealed in the progressed symbolic vision.
The astrologer cannot be a pure channel for their client if they do not understand the art of clearing their screen. That means coming to the session with no previously formed thoughts and sharing the insights you receive with your client at their conception. If the astrologer is going through personal problems, there is a likelihood that the client's issues will resonate with the astrologer's challenges. It is very important for the Astrologer to make no assumptions and to discover the magic of astrological resolution in entertaining the newfound information each individual brings with them. In this way the Astrologer can solve not only the client's problems, but in the reflection of the solution unique to the client, the astrologer can gain growth and progress in their own conflict resolution.
Are you surprised that an Astrologer, Tarot Reader or Psychic would have their own predicaments, karmic lessons or challenging soul growth? Remember what makes most psychiatrists become psychiatrists, if you don't know, it is usually their psychological perplexities. Not only does the seer have the same life challenges as most people, they are in fact augmented and they become more difficult as the soul grows. Sometimes I wonder if my life wasn't scripted to be an experience of all that plagues the human condition so that I might understand from the inside out and be able to help with little obscurity. By knowing exactly what a person is faced with, you can split yourself off and explore the steps to resolution that the client needs to follow because of personal knowledge of that self-same predicament. But not only will you be able to figure out a strategy for the client to follow, you can deliver the message with an empathy that leaves little doubt that you understand.
For me listening comes from the art of achieving the still point; the place where I know "no thing;" the clear reflecting pond that can channel the psychic sight. Through the technical analysis of the planetary placements and configurations, the language of the person's horoscope is their own. Most times the words and examples that come through the planetary chart are specific preferences of the client. The messages that come from the planetary placements create the inner vision that gives me the word, for example, "skydiving" when it is your peculiar preference. The astrologer speaks to the inner person, speaking of things that are intimate and most likely unknown to anyone else. This is why an astrological session gives so much clarity and resolution, because it speaks to you as if it were you speaking to yourself. But it can only do so if the Astrologer is listening.
Some astrological sessions can be too technical, something that would make sense to the astrologer but be of little applicable use to the client. We can all be amused for some time with the constructs of Ascendant, Moon and Sun, the planetary uniqueness in each of the signs and houses and their configurations. But this is the linear intellectual process that is more rational and so much the characteristic of the Air Signs; Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Other sessions can be too primary, or a simple reiteration of written material accumulated prior to the session. The quality and applicability of such a session will depend upon which authors the astrologer has referenced. Sometimes an astrologer cannot remain non-partisan of new-age fads in their consultations. This acknowledgement-based enthusiasm is most characteristic of the Fire Signs; Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
Then again, an astrologer can be too subjective, too personally persuasive, biased in personal values or beliefs and their insights therefore not custom made to fit their client. This type of astrologer may be too caught up in their own past and offering personal insights, cautions and protective guidance from a more fear based position. This would be characteristic of the Water Signs; Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces.
From most astrological sessions you can receive some applicable common sense, compassionate understanding and empathic advice. You can gain a cohesiveness of intention that grounds you on a path of purpose. This is the functionality of the Earth Signs; Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.
If we are listening, our body will be the receiver and transmitter of what is true. If we are speaking, thinking or acting out, we are not listening. We can all hear the resonance of truth if we are still enough. If you are a parent you know when your child tells you something that "rings true" or not. In our day to day life we simply confuse ourselves most of the time. We let stray fears or worries, other people's influence, suspicions, assumptions, bias and emotions, interfere with what we experience.
In the astrological session we cut away those peripherals and come to resolution that resonates with what is true for you. But to get the most out of the session, the client has to listen. Being too focused on specifics will narrow your comprehension. This gives the astrologer extra work. Sometimes an explanation has to be repeated in different ways with just the right words so it can be received. Although what was said in the first place did not seem to apply, after further discussion the client finally hears what is being said. But they have to listen and dialogue. The astrologer and client need to work together to refine resolution.

Winston and Allison
I could feel a bond between Winston and someone else. I wrote and email to the shelter and asked if it would be difficult to separate the foster caregiver from Winston if they formed a bond. They wrote back to say a bond had formed but it was between Winston and Allison. No one wanted to split them up because of how much they love each other. They did not tell me, I felt it.
Winston and Allison are taking quite a long time to recover from this illness but that is the good news that they are recovering. They continue to play and Winston eats but Allison is more finicky. She likes her kitten kibble with water so it is soft.
I have asked for a special dispensation since we are getting close to Christmas. Through one of the special caregivers at the SPCA who approached the Manager I have a tentative agreement to let me receive Winston and Allison as soon as they are well rather than waiting for their surgeries. This is a breakthrough and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they are well soon enough for this to happen. That was before the snowstorm, so we shall see what this next week brings.
As soon as we can we will transfer them to the closest SPCA shelter to me and I will continue to foster them until they can be spayed and neutered. Then I can adopt them as my own.
I am looking forward to Winston and Allison bringing love into our new home.

Calendar of Days With Influences
22ND SUN ENTERS SAGITTARIUS This very high-spirited energy that is cheerful, positive, spontaneous, fun-loving and curious. With the influence of the Sun in this zone, we can be pushed out of doors to expend energy because we need to feel free. This playfulness can create an impish automatic pilot that will avoid those who try to peg us down. We would want to avoid people who are emotionally demanding and any situation where someone is jealous or dictating. If our energy is not encouraged to be buoyant in our current circumstances, we are prone to moving onto greener pastures. Whatever our situation, we need to take that first step toward reconsideration, revision and resolution. We will be refining our process without interruption to our natural direction.
It will be our questions that draw us to become more interested in broader subjects. We turn to books, events, the web or movies; wherever we can get more information. The little steps we take now, in any direction, have long range effects as they accrue. We can, however, assume too much and jump to conclusions without enough information this month. A carefree tendency would shirk the restriction of organisation. If we are confronted with perceived suggestions that contradict our programming we must remove the blinders from our willingness to see opposite viewpoints. A mental overload can occur because of this expansiveness. The intellectually intense duality we experience now will teach us consideration and objectivity; paradox expands our focus. Our missed objectives are the result of an inability to adjust or correct our course once we are set in motion.
24TH If unattached, available or single, we are deeply stirred to want a mate. We pursue our lover for a commitment. Whatever our objectives in relationship, they will drive us with a great force. This very strong assertiveness can stir up our competitive drives as the warrior in us comes to the surface. With this building energy we are constructing something therefore adaptation is advisable when conflict arises. A single-minded desire to go in our own direction can put us at odds with our commitments. Willpower, excessive energy, over-activity and aggressive-assertive desire tendencies interfere with our pre-existing agreements. Some of us will strongly desire to be alone. Others express a low regard for culture, tradition or marriage. We all have some difficult decisions to make regarding relationship choices regardless of our philosophy, morals, judgments or opinions.
Issues of domination and equality can spark arguments if not war between people. These are passive aggressive influences which are troublesome as they tend toward projection. That is blaming others rather than owning things ourselves. Revisit the terms of give and take to realize the source of repressed anger. Perhaps try to understand why we are venting and tempted to use unfair tactics. Equality and assertiveness need to be merged. We need to confront ourselves if we choose to give away our power within relationship. With this energy we can work to create a strong and stable bond. Women, single or married, should always be mindful of developing a self-reliant self-governing self-sufficiency that is self-sustaining. It will transform our relationships by blending freedom and commitment.
25TH DISSEMINATING MOON For the next few days we will want to share our rational impressions with others. The impact of current events will produce a sense of things to come. We pick this up through our emotional sensors but translate it intellectually which makes us more prudent. The breaking up of conditions around us makes us more grateful for what we have. Learn not to worry; we will hurt ourselves immensely at this time if we indulge. Let things be, we cannot determine the why of fate at every turn. If we are focused on the details we will miss the message. It has to slip into an unsuspecting mind. Turn these strong influences toward creation of better powers of discernment. See through appearances without claim or blame. Learn how to work with inside knowledge. We are empowered to revise our perception of our personal history so a more constructive earth life can be enjoyed.
The problem may be that an inner struggle can get us wound up in a desire to escape. The focus funnel has been relentless and our minds have reached a point where they seem unable to step up to the responsibilities needed. Concentration on normal routine things will be much more difficult. Some of us will want to surrender to the universal oneness. Others are prone to daydreams and other flights of imagination. There is a need for transcendent experience. In other words, we want to get away from the ordinary. Conflict and guilt also create some difficult choices. Contradictions between the physical world and our spiritual beliefs would add to these difficulties. Deception or disillusionment can occur within a religious context. Sexual issues that surface can be transcended.
26TH One of our most important mantras is "Let go and let be"; we must not demand more than is reasonable. Our decisions are riddled with dilemmas. There is such a wide range of choice and interest that it is hard to focus. Nothing is black and white and some of our long-held beliefs fall short when they come under opposition. If we integrate feeling and idea we will become stronger. Idealism, expertise and performance are not realistic expectations under the current influences. Mental acuity and innovation plays a far superior role.
Our psychic/spiritual awareness is sensitive. We are much attuned to other dimensions. We need to make peace with the human condition and the harsh inequities of this world. Acutely sensitive we are easily wounded by misunderstanding or the misdirection of our abilities. Be aware that the path of initiation is opening to many. We are spiritual adventurers; maverick travelers during an era ripe with evolution, karmic shift and harmonic ascension; and we will find ourselves on a pathway of self-healing. Ego identification and personal attachment must be let go. These muddy the mind. Intuition will contradict logic. Those who try to hold on, and others who tend to suppress their imaginative-creative side, will not be able to maintain their mask of appearances.
28TH LAST QUARTER MOON We can hope to experience more successes than failures at this turning. However we are certainly doing battle to gain meagre ground. It is ironic that the more we push the more resistance we generate. Perhaps it is like quicksand, in order to gain ground and be free; we need to stop struggling because we are only causing ourselves to sink farther. Listen to the nuances. Let your ears and senses pick up the truth behind the appearance of things. Adjustments to committed relationships will help each other move toward an evolutionary path of purpose. This is not a good time to invest. What is created at this time may cause what was to be destroyed. Whether it be manmade or geophysical force the principle remains the same. Be very careful with computer viruses.
29TH This astrological configuration is a signal our planned objectives have been completed. We are assimilating, on a plateau of our ever-evolving structure, getting ready to scale new heights. As things are winding down we are challenged to develop the next test or quest. Large or expansive projects would experience impairment; increased action will be needed to secure their achievement. We are at a turning point where it is best to assess past failures and lack of development to avoid repetitive mistakes.
We can extend ourselves beyond our normal limits. We want the benefit of expansiveness. It is difficult to restrain ourselves. Get the ego out of the way, or be willing to learn from it, because the mistakes it can make will lead to trouble. Taking on too many things dissipates energy. Keep project planning realistic and moderate for now and revisit plans in March of 2011.
We cannot afford to build on fantasy. No one is going to do it for us and there is nowhere to run away if we overextend ourselves beyond our resources. Try not to create any imbalances. Kept track, do not be reckless and be resourceful with this infectious optimism because there is potential for good fortune.
Almost anything can be aggravating. The characteristics of the annoyances we can expect to experience will be mechanical problems, issues brought about by strong competitive urges, philosophical differences or confrontation of clashing opinions. Psychological and physical strength may overtax energy reserves if we allow ourselves to blow small things out of proportion. We can be inclined to overdo and get stressed.
VENUS ENTERS SCORPIO It is time to be an explorer of our emotional depths; to see how we can access and release more aliveness and vitality in our relationship with others. Fascinations, let us say for intriguing adventure and sex, or some other obsession, can become addictive. But importantly, Venus operating through Scorpio will create intense feelings and deepen relationship. We are called to pay attention to the deepest parts of who we are and we experience extreme and immediate reactions to people.
We are being asked to integrate "taboo" areas into the heart of who we are.
Some would be sensitive to and possibly paranoid of conspiracy. One way to use this time is to access how open we feel to expressing ourselves. What restrictive messages are suppressing our passion or vitality? Because we project these realities into our experience, we need to ask ourselves what fear or intensity blows these possibilities away.
Scorpio represents our shadow; the powerful emotions of rage, anger, jealously, sexual intensity and grief that most people find difficult to deal with. This influence makes us feel vulnerable when we tell someone we like them. Feelings seem complicated and difficult to put into words. It is an inhibition that is due to our anticipation of rejection, as well as our concern for being misunderstood. Be careful of the possessive or controlling tendency that this generates in the psyche as it tends to alienate by not giving enough space to others.
30TH MERCURY ENTERS CAPRICORN Our minds move from one field of influence where anything goes into a linear, systematic, logical, influence that encourages organisation and will help us to make the most of our mind's potential. With this conservatism it is easier to complete tasks and to get to things we have wanted to do. This practical and objective energy is good for planning and strategising. Put ideas down on paper right away, as they form, so later during less pragmatic times we have a plan. We can envision the objective, lay out the steps of accomplishment and develop the guidelines to achieve it even if we cannot act on it immediately. This is a particularly helpful zone for writing, speaking or communications.
1st Whether male or female, we need to claim and refine our masculine side in our own way according to our own image. This means away from the stereotype as well as not just a duplication of the ways of our parent or family. This is a particularly good time to work things out with others because we can remain true to ourselves. There is no either/or, right or wrong, absolute, black and white answer because we are co-creating our reality in terms of inclusivity. Being self-contained we can satisfy the needs of everyone in a co-committed way. By working out our differences we strengthen partnerships. For the difficult choices and conflicts we need non-traditional answers. Father issues surface to let them go.
BALSAMIC MOON This phase occurs in Libra where we tend to take things very seriously these days. It will help if we consciously let go; especially of attachments, childhood behavioural modification or preconceived notions. We have to give ourselves permission to grow and evolve by "being bad". This means going against what we have been taught and have upheld as standard. Old phobias, fears and irrevocable shoulds need to fall by the wayside if they are holding us back or no longer feel relevant. Be creative, we have only our own guidelines to follow. The how and why of what has always influenced us needs to dissolve, break down, be recycled or reinvented. This is an excellent time to get insights into this process. We can become proactively involved in a better financial perspective by taking more personal responsibility and perhaps employing some austerity because of the nervous economy.
2ND This rebuilding stage we are in creates some burdensome stress and a disappointing struggle that feels like a heavy responsibility. We need only apply ourselves as best we can. By deflecting discontent and dismay we can carry the load. It is important not to burn out because of this intense focus on practical responsibility. We still need time out to refresh our inner spirit. Do not make any commitments when in the wrong frame of mind. Superiors may be difficult and uncooperative so do not take their actions personal. We need to find meaning for what we must do rather than just drudge along repressed and in denial.
3RD VESTA ENTERS SAGITTARIUS This is the planet of focus and in this sign we will be focused on the big picture which is good for projects requiring enthusiasm and adventure. We will work most effectively if we believe in what we are doing. With Vesta there is a constant search for higher spiritual connection that will align the self with the higher powers. In Sagittarius Vesta finds the passion of a total truth but needs to be careful of developing it as a mindset. Because we are so focused on our own, it is possible to alienate others if no consideration is given for their beliefs. This will boomerang around us.
Growth is a constant ever-changing element in our life. Learning the truth is a never-ending journey. There is always more unseen for us to learn about. We will be looking for something we can believe in whether it is an ideal, a cause or a job. However, high spirited adventure can undermine the foundation of trust in a relationship when there is a lack of honesty and loyalty. Also if we are under stress, we can experience a hypocritical attitude whereas normally this would bring an influence that is inspiring and illuminating.
Simultaneously, a sense of urgency surrounds us. This makes activities chaotic so we can expect many changes of plan. Discomfort in the form of restlessness and impulsiveness will refresh our realisations. Disruption of the status quo makes room for improvement. But it can also lead to drastic action. We are thinking autonomously; it is bound to cause others to react.
We need to keep our eye out for wherever reorientation would best serve our purposes. The tests we face now would come from initiatives we started previously that may need adaptation. This is a karmic influence in nature. We receive the result of what we have caused by our use of free will. Reform will address the flaws. So do not be threatened by this transitioning. Let the ego gain recognition rather than demand acknowledgement of individuality. Be an example of change.
An accident would result from frustration, egotistical behaviour, feeling restrained, impulsive, distracted, or simply moving too quickly to be safe. Explosive change only happens if we need to break away. New solutions will continue to lie dormant until we act on them. The unexpected brings new opportunities and new solutions. Keep your eyes wide open.
5TH NEW MOON It is the beginning of a new lunar month or moon cycle as the Sun and Moon conjoin in the sky. Old powerful traditions as symbolised by the ancestral construction of the great Pyramid or Stonehenge are the power we draw upon within our consciousness. Tapping into this spiritual ancestry will be the procreator of new innovation and the modern intelligence of our times. Whether we study past or present we can find these universal principles at work. We need to be mindful that humanity is being universalised and rattled into broadmindedness. While we are living in exciting times of great growth and encouraged to cut the chords of old commitment we cannot enjoy these developments for the beneficial boon they are. We must keep busy attending to our organic purpose, eliminating life lessons, dissolving obstacles to self-realisation, dissolving repressed emotions, earning karmic grace and allowing the synapses of our brains to be rewired.
URANUS STATIONARY DIRECT Uranus once more travelling direct unleashes excitement into our lives. Since Uranus has been retrograde energy has been pent up inside of us. We have been contemplating the change we need to make. Now we want to follow the new directions we have been planning. For some the direct motion can unleash Pandora's Box of pent-up emotional volatility for others simply chaos. But more importantly it brings the desire to be totally and uncompromisingly true to ourselves.
Intuitive and inventive impulses are flowing so we will move forward. But we need to watch for reactivity. It is not productive for anyone if someone is reacting to every suggestion. It holds everyone up. Uranus rules earthquakes, earth changes, big business, politics, new and old technology, unrest and the masses. So unleashing its influences will have a big effect on these sectors. A positive telepathic and clairvoyant enhancement, insightful meditations, and potential for finding a teacher, guru, medical cure, new drug or invention and other solution are anticipated outcomes. We might be thrust suddenly into a direction we are not used to taking.
This is not the time to hesitate; if we get an offer we probably need to take it! The offer would not come unless the Cosmos thought it should. We get too comfortable in our niche. As the primary representative of evolution, Uranus has the job to kick us out of habitual routine. Try and stay centred. Meditation is a wonderful way to accomplish this. Take time out from all the stress and remain calm and quiet. Visualise Mother Earth to heal her. Pray for peace within. We need to do things that ground us and bring our life back into a simple focus. We need to provide the stability that is much needed right now, by maintaining routines that give us a sense of that essence.
6TH We are evolving into an understanding of the unknown, and moving with the changes occurring as humanity evolves. Dilemmas will send us on a search for resolution. Try not to protest or convert. There will be opposition and it will create stress that can inflate our opinions and outrage our ego which then would place our intelligence over and above others. If faced with ideas that compromise tradition, culture, society, belief or family we need to embrace the right for freedom of creative intelligence. Everyone is free to think as they like as long as it brings no harm to anyone else. Definition need to become more universal not so absolute or concrete so we can use poetic license and phonetic impressionism witfully. It is most likely not the first time unconventional faith, freedom, and originality have been at the forefront of our chosen beliefs.
7TH MARS ENTERS CAPRICORN During Mars' transit of Capricorn people will become more ambitious and willing to work very hard for whatever is real and important to them. Our focus can turn to career and acquiring appropriate training or education to achieve position and status or simply self-accomplishment. We will be more law abiding and practical. Energy is disciplined and it is responsibly directed toward practical, tangible results. People become more courageous but will need to see the point of fighting for anything including a cause. The Capricorn inclination to measure people's value according to income or social prestige comes under scrutiny in the circumstances and events of this period.
9TH CRESCENT MOON This phase of promise is jammed full of intense and adamant liveliness and we will be assimilating this cosmic sandwich. Our promise lies in the hands of karma and destiny, the consequences of our actions and the state of our consciousness development or the evolution of our brain. Now if that is not enough we are on the path of healing our identity while we accelerate our self-development. This is not to mention the dissolving of the past in any way, shape or form that it could impede our progress. This is what the universe is promising us if we do not get our hopes too centred on extraneous expectations. We are in the hands of what we have created by our previous states of being; our thoughts, words and actions. We will do what we must do maybe not what we thought we were going to do. Takes be back to John Lennon in Beautiful Boy {Darling Boy}; "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." We must move with the times right now, it is in our best interests.
We can really get carried away with expectations surrounding relationship. Our hopes and wishes may be so enthralling that we are not very prudent. Over-optimism lets us down. It is only possible to resolve dichotomy in a relationship if both partners agree to work it out reciprocally. Looking for relationship that has the appearance of potential wealth is an obvious faux pas. But a lack of commitment is what we need to be mindful about getting presently. When two people are looking for someone, one of them could just be looking for a lucky break, not a committed relationship.
If we see only what we want to see in others; we will miss the differences that exist, especially the important basics like philosophical belief or faith. We always hope for the best or think we can change someone. This combination of influences can attract someone who wants to remain free to love as they fancy. We may not know; they may not say. So an exploration for relationship is good as long as we realise the issues of independence that exist within another person before fashioning any long range plans.
10TH MERCURY STATIONARY RETROGRADE Now this is a toughie, I will not lead anyone astray. If ever there was a Mercury Retrograde sent to try us it will be this one. We have been through lots of them before so do not get flustered. This one is a karmic challenge. It is for us to master our destiny. We need to deal with whatever comes up so just set the jaw, keep a stiff upper lip, soldier on; whatever tough it out or other kind of inspiring mantra works! Facing things head on is best, especially since it could be once and for all time.
Generally speaking Mercury retrograde periods bring signals that lead us to our self, our soul or what we most need normally. But we should make use of this retrograde; take an unusual view of our past with hindsight to form a new perspective. We review our life patterns, both productive and destructive for insight and resolution. Going back over things will help us.
Since efficiency is built upon stability think of this as a maintenance period, we will deal with things that need repair. We will be called to attend what we have ignored. Communication issues and problems are natural phenomena. Take the time to resolve things now to be better equipped to make smooth progress in the future.
This is not always a bad experience. If we are immersed in a project that consumes our mind we will research things thoroughly. 12TH We have been experiencing the break-up or break down of things. There have been many kinds of crisis, all of which have been compounded by unexpected change and other erratic situations. This is overloading the brain and nervous system. We are learning to be innovative, inventive, original and ingenious or simply; to think outside the box. If we are not grounded in the process of turning mindsets into options we can short circuit. Take time to assimilate the flux within the synapses. This will be the hardest on the older population. It is time to turn the page, restandardise, reset rules, roles and policy with what is brought to light. Values have a huge role to play in this process, especially with regard to validated needs. Brilliant strategies can come from a meeting of minds. Change will affect government, large corporation, educational institutions and the legal, social and political system.
13TH FIRST QUARTER MOON The moon phases are packing a punch, they cannot help but trigger something because the sky is alive. Our emotional convictions can be over magnified and if others do not appreciate the amplification we can blow a fuse. For those without issues; insightful inspirations show us the way to navigate away from past conditions toward a promising new restructuring. This is a critical turning point, tenuous at best for most, going against the grain for many, but it is the forefront of what will be. The "I AM" principle needs to check its ego at the door or be in for a very injurious reconciling. Our commitment to everything we hold as important is questioned for validity. We are challenged to rebuild but we do not have any architectural plans. This is freestyle. Many people have too much doubt and fear to join in with the pioneering who have more confidence.
The aspects of power are converging and while they are meant to be constructive we can react in destructive ways when we do not know what to do. The violent strength of these energies is synonymous with earth change, natural and explosive disaster, acts of violence, accident, or fire. Then there are the manmade disasters like mob violence and gangs, protests gone wrong, homicide, terrorist acts and bombings. This may stir up repressed anger from the depth of our psyche. We may do things as if compelled by unknown and difficult to control urges. This overt energy however can easily become covert and manipulative. But it is useful when eruptions help to clear the air.
The dramatisation shows us nothing is permanent, everything changes and has an end. We get freed from attachment because we are shown what really sustains us in moments of crisis or loss. We learn how to be born anew in every situation, how to transform neglected inner resources into real power. We will be empowered according to our aims and temperament. We have the opportunity to accomplish a profound objective or to wreak havoc. Strong energies will attract people with equal strength therefore conflict can arise. We avoid power struggles if we keep in mind that our interests and other people's interests are interdependent. Real power stems from the creative integration of life experience.

Fashion good karma; be mindful of each decision and choice because we are creating our future with them.
18TH MERCURY ENTERS SAGITTARIUS A restless curiosity spurs the mind to want to know more about anything that comes to its attention. Question those who are already involved in what we want to know because they can provide some of the best answers. But do not pester people if they are busy. We will not spend much time on details; we are more interested in the bigger picture which can be obtained without detainment. A quick mind makes mistakes, so have the patience to go slower. Speaking bluntly can hurt others, but speaking indirect is not the impulse. As truth is most important, hopefully honesty will be a respected trait. They do not always go hand in hand. Branch out into new ideas and concepts, not everyone will accept them right away, but if they are right they will grow and expand the mind.
19TH A lack of proportion will cause some confusion. While attending to certain details, we lose track of the big picture. The way we plan and the way we do is dissimilar. We are not down to earth as they say. The mind is lazy and the words we use are not expressive enough so we can be misinterpreted. We could spontaneously say things that are sharp and regretful, or things we do not really mean. Creative work can excel because disharmony can be taken to the canvas. The alchemical process will alter the artist's state of conflict.
20TH PALLAS ATHENA ENTERS CAPRICORN Wise counsel can provide structure, order, efficiency and practicality for our aspirations. Architecturally or sculpturally this symbol in the Capricornian zone represents creation of enduring form. Political correctness in defence of the needy or wounded will confront the underlying structure of law and order. A strong sense of authority is generated by this placement, along with the ability to withstand a challenge and to be unto ourselves. It gives us the ability to be in the right place at the right time. In healing, this sign is related to the skeleton, so modalities like posture therapy, chiropractic, osteopathy; deep tissue massage and dentistry may be the most needed by people. Pallas Athena in Capricorn can be used to see the underlying structure in any form.
When Juno and Uranus interact we know a partner or partnership will change, be different or difficult. One or the other involved will shake things up to be more what they need. The Grand Square or Cross is like being encased within a vice grip. This is a mutable Grand Cross, so it is difficult with respect to maintaining focus in most things but especially communication. The dithering makes us irresolute we are easily scattered and disjointed when under pressure. Being anxiously nervous we can become overexcited and disproportionate. There is difficulty gathering our thoughts into a collective cohesion of ideas.
The impulses of the four cornered planets are going to scatter in different directions in a disconcerted effort to find stasis; in other words, their still point of stability and consistency. The process of transforming and adjusting is just trying to avoid obstacle. It is easy to understand how this works against us. 22ND SUN ENTERS SAGITTARIUS This very high-spirited energy that is cheerful, positive, spontaneous, fun-loving and curious. With the influence of the Sun in this zone, we can be pushed out of doors to expend energy because we need to feel free. This playfulness can create an impish automatic pilot that will avoid those who try to peg us down. We would want to avoid people who are emotionally demanding and any situation where someone is jealous or dictating. If our energy is not encouraged to be buoyant in our current circumstances, we are prone to moving onto greener pastures. Whatever our situation, we need to take that first step toward reconsideration, revision and resolution. We will be refining our process without interruption to our natural direction.

The problem may be that an inner struggle can get us wound up in a desire to escape. If we integrate feeling and idea we will become stronger. Idealism, expertise and performance are not realistic expectations under the current influences. Mental acuity and innovation plays a far superior role.
Our psychic/spiritual awareness is sensitive. We are much attuned to other dimensions. We need to make peace with the human condition and the harsh inequities of this world. Acutely sensitive we are easily wounded by misunderstanding or the misdirection of our abilities. Be aware that the path of initiation is opening to many. 28TH LAST QUARTER MOON We can hope to experience more successes than failures at this turning. However we are certainly doing battle to gain meagre ground. It is ironic that the more we push the more resistance we generate. Perhaps it is like quicksand, in order to gain ground and be free; we need to stop struggling because we are only causing ourselves to sink farther. Listen to the nuances. Let your ears and senses pick up the truth behind the appearance of things. Adjustments to committed relationships will help each other move toward an evolutionary path of purpose. This is not a good time to invest. What is created at this time may cause what was to be destroyed. Whether it be manmade or geophysical force the principle remains the same. Be very careful with computer viruses.
29TH This astrological configuration is a signal our planned objectives have been completed. We are assimilating, on a plateau of our ever-evolving structure, getting ready to scale new heights. As things are winding down we are challenged to develop the next test or quest. Large or expansive projects would experience impairment; increased action will be needed to secure their achievement. We are at a turning point where it is best to assess past failures and lack of development to avoid repetitive mistakes.
We can extend ourselves beyond our normal limits. We want the benefit of expansiveness. It is difficult to restrain ourselves. Get the ego out of the way, or be willing to learn from it, because the mistakes it can make will lead to trouble. Taking on too many things dissipates energy. Keep project planning realistic and moderate for now and revisit plans in March of 2011.

BALSAMIC MOON This phase occurs in Libra where we tend to take things very seriously these days. It will help if we consciously let go; especially of attachments, childhood behavioural modification or preconceived notions. We have to give ourselves permission to grow and evolve by "being bad". This means going against what we have been taught and have upheld as standard. Old phobias, fears and irrevocable shoulds need to fall by the wayside if they are holding us back or no longer feel relevant. Be creative, we have only our own guidelines to follow. The how and why of what has always influenced us needs to dissolve, break down, be recycled or reinvented. This is an excellent time to get insights into this process. We can become proactively involved in a better financial perspective by taking more personal responsibility and perhaps employing some austerity because of the nervous economy.
2ND This rebuilding stage we are in creates some burdensome stress and a disappointing struggle that feels like a heavy responsibility. We need only apply ourselves as best we can. 3RD VESTA ENTERS SAGITTARIUS This is the planet of focus and in this sign we will be focused on the big picture which is good for projects requiring enthusiasm and adventure. We will work most effectively if we believe in what we are doing. With Vesta there is a constant search for higher spiritual connection that will align the self with the higher powers. In Sagittarius Vesta finds the passion of a total truth but needs to be careful of developing it as a mindset. Because we are so focused on our own, it is possible to alienate others if no consideration is given for their beliefs. This will boomerang around us.
Growth is a constant ever-changing element in our life. Learning the truth is a never-ending journey. There is always more unseen for us to learn about. Whether we study past or present we can find these universal principles at work. We need to be mindful that humanity is being universalised and rattled into broadmindedness. While we are living in exciting times of great growth and encouraged to cut the chords of old commitment we cannot enjoy these developments for the beneficial boon they are. We must keep busy attending to our organic purpose, eliminating life lessons, dissolving obstacles to self-realisation, dissolving repressed emotions, earning karmic grace and allowing the synapses of our brains to be rewired.
URANUS STATIONARY DIRECT Uranus once more travelling direct unleashes excitement into our lives. Since Uranus has been retrograde energy has been pent up inside of us. We have been contemplating the change we need to make. Now we want to follow the new directions we have been planning. For some the direct motion can unleash Pandora's Box of pent-up emotional volatility for others simply chaos. But more importantly it brings the desire to be totally and uncompromisingly true to ourselves.
Intuitive and inventive impulses are flowing so we will move forward. But we need to watch for reactivity. It is not productive for anyone if someone is reacting to every suggestion. It holds everyone up. Uranus rules earthquakes, earth changes, big business, politics, new and old technology, unrest and the masses. So unleashing its influences will have a big effect on these sectors. A positive telepathic and clairvoyant enhancement, insightful meditations, and potential for finding a teacher, guru, medical cure, new drug or invention and other solution are anticipated outcomes. We might be thrust suddenly into a direction we are not used to taking.
This is not the time to hesitate; if we get an offer we probably need to take it! The offer would not come unless the Cosmos thought it should. We get too comfortable in our niche. As the primary representative of evolution, Uranus has the job to kick us out of habitual routine. Try and stay centred. Meditation is a wonderful way to accomplish this. 6TH We are evolving into an understanding of the unknown, and moving with the changes occurring as humanity evolves. Dilemmas will send us on a search for resolution. Try not to protest or convert. There will be opposition and it will create stress that can inflate our opinions and outrage our ego which then would place our intelligence over and above others. If faced with ideas that compromise tradition, culture, society, belief or family we need to embrace the right for freedom of creative intelligence. Everyone is free to think as they like as long as it brings no harm to anyone else. Definition need to become more universal not so absolute or concrete so we can use poetic license and phonetic impressionism witfully. It is most likely not the first time unconventional faith, freedom, and originality have been at the forefront of our chosen beliefs.
7TH MARS ENTERS CAPRICORN During Mars' transit of Capricorn people will become more ambitious and willing to work very hard for whatever is real and important to them. Our focus can turn to career and acquiring appropriate training or education to achieve position and status or simply self-accomplishment. We will be more law abiding and practical. Energy is disciplined and it is responsibly directed toward practical, tangible results. People become more courageous but will need to see the point of fighting for anything including a cause. The Capricorn inclination to measure people's value according to income or social prestige comes under scrutiny in the circumstances and events of this period.
9TH CRESCENT MOON This phase of promise is jammed full of intense and adamant liveliness and we will be assimilating this cosmic sandwich. Our promise lies in the hands of karma and destiny, the consequences of our actions and the state of our consciousness development or the evolution of our brain. Now if that is not enough we are on the path of healing our identity while we accelerate our self-development. This is not to mention the dissolving of the past in any way, shape or form that it could impede our progress. This is what the universe is promising us if we do not get our hopes too centred on extraneous expectations. We are in the hands of what we have created by our previous states of being; our thoughts, words and actions. We will do what we must do maybe not what we thought we were going to do. Takes be back to John Lennon in Beautiful Boy {Darling Boy}; "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." We must move with the times right now, it is in our best interests.
We can really get carried away with expectations surrounding relationship. Our hopes and wishes may be so enthralling that we are not very prudent. Over-optimism lets us down. It is only possible to resolve dichotomy in a relationship if both partners agree to work it out reciprocally. Looking for relationship that has the appearance of potential wealth is an obvious faux pas. But a lack of commitment is what we need to be mindful about getting presently. When two people are looking for someone, one of them could just be looking for a lucky break, not a committed relationship.
If we see only what we want to see in others; we will miss the differences that exist, especially the important basics like philosophical belief or faith.
