21^ST SUN ENTERS CANCER Happy Summer Solstice. The Sun is at its northernmost point in the sky attempting to warm our northern climates. The influence of Cancer will enhance personal relationships to become more serious and substantial. We want to be near to someone dear, to share nostalgic memories with loved ones and enjoy cosy times at home. The vibrations of loyalty and cooperation comingle with genuine concern. Cooking, gardening or mothering will be natural inclinations. But heightened emotional sensitivity can make some of us vulnerable and grumpy. Emotions have the power to create such prisons. Moodiness is emotionally troubling. Things can go sideways, be indirect or hidden and we will know this by how comfortable we are with any given situation or how shy and secretive we become. But those of us with a clear channel will receive more accurate intuition. Once we are in our comfort zone we can be more outwardly gregarious. Watch those eating binges, they put on weight.

 22^ND GIBBOUS MOON The Moon is in Scorpio reaching out ahead of the Sun in Cancer forming the phase that comes just before full. We are pulling things together, reaching maximum potential and finding answers to current questions. We are deeply searching introspectively while also looking outwardly in a diverse number of directions. A strong magnetic draw pulls us toward whatever is in our best karmic interest. Powers beyond our control are reconstructing good connections. Big change and great insight, a new sense of opportunity are developing. We need to take personal responsibility for ourselves, our hopes, wishes, consciousness development and self-realisation. Relationships that are inappropriate to our wholeness will dissolve and fade away. We must focus on directions that are not only personally relevant but wholesome and healthy too.  23^RD Artists, this is an excellent time to work out inner conflicts through creative work. Take any disharmony to the palette and canvas so to speak. We can all do this in one form or another. It is an alchemical process that will alter the state we are in. Words may not be expressive enough. In fact they can be misinterpreted. A sharp tongue may regret itself later. So actions may take the place of words if someone wishes to express their appreciation.

 24^TH This is an important juncture, a congealing of diversity and a fortification of inner conviction that cannot compromise itself. It is a point of transformational growth that is compulsive, metamorphic and empowering. Dreams, visions, meditations and inspirations facilitate the influences. Consider this a balance point and capture its essence.

 PALLAS ATHENA DIRECT We start to gather strength and inner direction which moves us forward because we are fortified by the guidance of our perceptions. A greater sense of self-validation boosts our authority and ability to accept our matured intelligence. The approval of others is less important to our sense of self.  25^TH MERCURY ENTERS CANCER We get the benefit of emotion being able to have more of an effect on the mind. This can mean we have more intuition, psychic receptivity or imagination and being around or near water will assist such conveyances. We can speak more honestly about how we feel and use discrimination to clarify ourselves over and above criticisms and objections. Fearfulness, storminess, petulance and brooding can be provoked too or occur if we feel unappreciated so can withdrawals. If so we need to seek calm and let things pass. Land dealings, involvements with siblings, or house hunting are generated by Mercury in this sign. Habitual thought processes, our own or those absorbed by osmosis from others, become more prominent and therefore evident. Try not to take yourself too seriously in this regard; it is just the mind's retentitiveness that is repetitive.

 26^TH FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE The Sun in Cancer is opposing the Moon in the polar opposite sign of Capricorn with the Earth directly in the middle causing an eclipse. The Lunar Eclipse is very powerful on a personal or emotional level. This one is exceptional because it is more extreme in this way with Pluto as the Moon's consort. Psychic sensitivity, spiritual instinct and emotional connectedness are aroused. It stimulates the discovery of creative and artistic qualities. But the unstableness of the environment occurs because there is change in the electromagnetic energy that affects us neurologically or mentally. There will be some stress initially as blockages in many parts of our lives will begin to crumble and then there will be a feeling of freedom.

 This Full Moon is packed with promise and opportunity. All Full Moons bring matters to fulfilment as the cosmic light shines brighter to show us things we need to see. Eclipses always mean crises. Now, crisis is not necessarily a bad thing. At the very least, a phase of our life ends and a new one begins. Whatever part of our life is not in sync with our true life's purpose will show the most change.We consider making big changes such as furthering education or questioning our beliefs. Faraway places catch our interest and daydreams. We find ourselves viewing our world differently as we sort out life's priorities and fully embrace new ambitions.  27^TH It is good that we are more accepting of things beyond limited labels. We need to heal, inspire, or share our hearts. Many adjustments will be made to our definition of ideal. Eliminating and cleaning out the psyche we are chasing away old issues and confusions. Goals lose their meaning, life is out of focus and where as some are inspired others are apprehensive or doubtful. Fewer boundaries can either make us feel more inspired or uncomfortable. Timing is off, we can get detoured and misfire. Immunity is weakened so we can get caught off guard. Denial or emotional overload makes us numb to the turmoil of the world. We will become aware of our vulnerabilities. Remember the law of attraction is still working when we are discombobulated; we are attracting exactly what we are trying to avoid. However, if we were chasing unrealistic dreams this is a godsend.

 28^TH We have integrated what we learned during the last Retrograde of Mercury, dealt with the issues that arose and are ready to move forward. Now what is very important to realise is that we are now setting up the consequences for the next retrograde. Whatever new trends, new ideals, new standards, new fields of experience or new techniques and innovations we undertake we want to be organised. We gather information to improve our status and qualify our ideas through paperwork, telephone calls, letter writing, business meetings and planning. We are a little more self-absorbed but with good reason. The restless tension makes us want to resource our ambitions. There is a lot of nervous energy so we are likely to be keeping our hands busy. We learn, evaluate, classify, divide, and generally dissect reality moving ahead very quickly. Since we are quick we are not always thorough and therefore it is up to the future retrograde to makes us aware of what we are failing to notice.

 We are so intensely focused on finding ourselves, or on personal goals of self-discovery and self-awareness, that we may choose to forego relationship commitments. Our spiritual goals and devotions become our deep and unwavering dedication. We are passionate about the sacredness of our altar and our hearth. Our fighting spirit and masculine energies are fuelled by intense focus and self-sacrifice. We want to do things in our own way, shape, form and manner to such a degree that it can preclude working with others. We may dedicate ourselves to the development of martial skills, or to reclaiming the sacredness and honourable expression of the masculine. We are bold and willing to defend or protect our "sacred cow." Anger, however, can turn cold, impersonal and indifferent, like fodder without souls or feelings. In some situations it is imperative that we do not engage emotionally because distance is essential.

 30^TH DISSEMININATING MOON With the Sun still in Cancer, the Moon has reached three quarters the way round and is now found in Aquarius. The super-charged full moon has brought us to this mercurial stewing pot. We are tempted to slide backwards, to give up, to lose hope, to allow our emotional responses to give way to fear and doubt. Now is the time to call on faith, hope and love which in the old vernacular was charity. So do not believe everything that is heard or are told. We need to think for ourselves and be single minded if necessary. We must try to not to let people manipulate us away from our purposeful pathway. There is a lot of hard work going into letting the past go and to moving on. Also people are working on refashioning childhood memories, rephrasing how they have viewed their subjective dysfunctions and why parents or family might have been or done what they did. We never have all the answers and must be prepared to be wrong about what we thought. Hindsight is helpful when it is 20/20.

 2^ND We need to consider our ideals, romantic illusions, or concrete expectations in relationship because we are clearing out old issues. We need to delete what is not a realistic basis for interaction. Psychic energies are stronger so we can realise if we are projecting our perceptions of weakness and sensitivity onto others as part of our transaction.  We are picking up on energies more easily, like other people's thoughts; so secrets or feigned and masked feelings will have an indirect impact on our relationships. We have fewer boundaries or protocols so deception or illness can be passed between people. Situations that demand compassion and understanding will arise. Humans play the role of saint or victim and some get back at others if they feel wronged. There can be confusion over the cost of things. Self-sacrifice can become problematic. But on the upside we are drawn to art and spirit.

 We begin life with co-dependence and grow toward realising our autonomy of self. When we accomplish this our evolutionary path can lead us to a joining together with others. Realising a full sense of self is paramount in the successful union with another. The relating urge is harmonious so we can improve our partnerships or make a commitment to a new one. Many opportunities will open up within the atmosphere of a supportive relationship. There is less wavering within established relations. These energies help relationship adjustment.

 Our theme this year is all about healing our patterns to become enlightened so we can help heal the collective consciousness. We are finding the keys for planetary healing and individual upliftment in the unconventional and futuristic. The electrical energy field around us is highly intensified. Some will find it easier to tune into other dimensions, timelines and collective wisdom or see auras. Our thinking is more free and independent. Our auras are more pronounced.

 4^TH LAST QUARTER MOON  The Moon is in Aries squaring off with the Moon in Cancer as it hits the homeward run. It is a critical juncture; one where we have to observe what does not work. It is also a little bit more chaotic and pressured than usual. The sense of urgency can overwhelm us. We need to find a quiet space or moment to analyse our choices. Operating on our senses more than usual we are feeling our way through unfamiliar terrain and over an ever-changing landscape. Our weaknesses are bound to show up louder than our strengths. We can come to realise the limitations we place on ourselves. This can be very empowering. It can also give us a sense of direction. Children can act out and become susceptible to temptation. Many people may be inclined toward adoption.

 5^TH URANUS RETROGRADE A planet becomes retrograde when it is too far out and needs to come back to line with the Earth loosely speaking. There is no planet that gets further out there than Uranus. It is all about change, transition, transformation and chaos. But the backward movement is likely to help us with the current velocity of chaotic energy we have been experiencing. In a mundane way this can expose weaknesses in electrical systems, in transmissions or satellite operations, for substations and computer wireless or cell phones. Flaws in electronic systems can affect airplane travel. Since the solar storms are picking up at this time it can be more noticeable.

 During the retrograde we will also get a breakthrough or experience sudden events and have things revealed to us in a shocking manner. It is time for a pruning or release of old tapes and unhealthy emotions or attitudes. We are backing off from the overload of Uranian frequency, and assimilating the disorder, to make sense of it. We are putting Humpty Dumpty together again. Major aha occurs out of the blue, like lightning, for those of us striving for awareness, wakefulness or climbing the compassionate spiritual staircase on this planet. We tap into our innermost creative thoughts to a rich source of experimental new ideas; we want to test on the world. We seek out method and media that best suits our genius and plan our personal quest for freedom and independence.

 6^TH Difficulties with either spiritual awakening or committed relationship arise in our personal growth spectrum. Remember we are shape-shifting; transforming blocked energy and healing our woundedness as we change our patterns. Whatever holds us back from exploring expansion, wholeness and relatedness needs to be sorted. We will be unravelling our karmic tangles also. Fulfilment in life is the challenge we are faced with; tension exists if needs are not satiated. So there are choices to make, an opening to enable and multiple possibilities beyond what is known but we struggle with this. We need to bridge the gap between traditional and unconventional and this is what we will work towards. We are working on our major transformational sifts which will be on the emotional, mental and spiritual levels. We are doing the spiritual polka!

 8^TH BALSAMIC MOON The Moon in Gemini is snuggling back up behind the Sun in Cancer. We are entering the prophetic phase. This is a time of renewal and rebirth. We feel good for no particular reason. Positive communications and connections bring people together. But we are so much in a state of flux it is hard to quiet the inner noise which is what we must do to make the most of this four day period. Our focus is strong but somewhat intense and critically minded. The inappropriate will slip out of our grasp. Karmic deliverance can come in the nick of time. So many changes keep occurring we begin to accept it as the norm; even disrupted schedules. Find the positive in all you do.

 9^TH MERCURY ENTERS LEO With Leo infused into the rays of Mercury, when pressured to think otherwise, we can become very sure of our own ideas and think we are right. But that is only under pressure. It is an increased sense of pride that makes us more stubborn and dramatic. We desire to make others think as we do because we want to get at the truth not just accept superficial answers. However, we do find planning and problem solving easier to achieve as long as no one thinks arrogantly or feels they know it all. We turn to those we admire for advice so we can get direction. We will be busy organising and planning with this positive energy.

 10^TH VENUS ENTERS VIRGO Health and appearance becomes important to us while Venus is in this sign. We curb impulses and bring out practicality as it seems easier to identify the expensive and frivolous. The more things are organised, neat and tidy the better we feel. Anything aesthetically disordered would irritate. Our pet peeves are closer to the surface; we are more critical and easily judgmental. Serving our loved ones and friends comes natural as our quota of selflessness is increased. We can socialize with co-workers. We will discover what duties and obligations dominate our social life. This practical down to earth energy is focused on making things better, improving, repairing, healing, fixing or becoming whole

 11^TH NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE Eclipse energy brings about deep changes in both the inner world and outer world awareness. Eclipses can dramatically change our life circumstances and in the long run these changes are positive for our Spiritual Growth! Eclipses precipitate new growth experiences and "lead" us to new stages of development. Our willpower will encounter emotions, old patterns and unconscious forces that require special consideration. We need to slow down and take some time to reflect on where we are at and where we are going. It helps to let go of outmoded ways of thinking, and look at new ways of expressing ourselves.

 This eclipse will echo the degree that was eclipsed on June 30^th, 1995 but it will only last for five hours instead of seven like the last time. The number five plays an important role. Ripples from this eclipse will occur in 5s or in 5 hours, 5 days, 5 months, etc. Its energies lend themselves to the re-orchestration of the social systems of life, government, politics, economic or corporate structure. Old agreements will likely give way. We may see a crack in the global systems where each country must fend for themselves. We have our work cut out for us by this eclipse but we will have to wait and see what it is because it will be different for each one of us. Issues between people arise if we are not right within ourselves.

13^TH The cracks in our logic will appear so large that the chasms are hard to miss. This helps to make us more aware of our blocks. So take this as a very appropriate time to update our methodology; or how we do things. We need to face this challenge with inner strength and courage; we know we need to change even if we cannot fathom how. That at least is a beginning. Feelings of inadequacy or frustration arise; we question ourselves and become confused about our integrity. Thin skinned, we may be ready to do battle; we are actually feeling vulnerable and inhibited. The activist within is operational; so we need to make ourselves our special cause.

 14^TH CRESCENT MOON This is the Moon that follows new beginnings; our first steps toward what we hope to achieve this month. Our ability to take advantage of the promises offered rests totally on getting out of our own way. The Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is in Virgo. There is prospect for excitement and enjoyment if we can wrap our minds around the big picture rather than the details. Positive trends with finances can be prompted at this time. Do not waste the window of opportunity. Asset recovery is important; legal issues can go well. We may need to rethink many things; talk to ourselves or in other words be our own therapist. Irrational complexities will surface to prompt us to know what our priorities are. We are all struggling; trying to fix ourselves and we need to do it in our own way. There is no one size fits all.

 16^TH Nurture the individual within so that development of our own natural resources contributes to the whole. We cannot be as concerned with making choices that suit others or second-guessing what we should do. We must be true to ourselves beyond labels, pigeon holes and categorization. Nurturing our self-worth will help us move forward. Taking care of and cherishing ourselves means we must love ourselves and find ourselves worthy. We have more confidence, energy and independence built up now so all that is left is to believe in ourselves.

 18^TH FIRST QUARTER MOON  This is our first challenging confrontational phase of the month; we know if there are conflicts or problems, they will arise. Our will is very strong and equally as subjective. Not only that but we can be very righteous about what we hold to be true. We assert ourselves on others because of our need to take action with ourselves. Confusion about where things are going in the world makes our personal chaos more acute. When we are doing important work on ourselves it is always darker before the dawn. This means that things can get pretty rough before we reach the breakthrough. We need to remember this during our present struggle because it will get us through to the other side and we can leave normal behind. The more personal work we do on ourselves and the more we attend to our own issues the better the collective will benefit. Each and every one of us will be contributing by improving themselves no matter how minuscule.

 Deconditioning subconscious images and social imprinting is what will help us get free of old response habits. Family dynamics are evolving through each individual involved. Differences between family members can be recognised so personal expression is more individual. Where there has been great tension we make peace by addressing whatever has interfered with good relations. We come to understand how guilt operates through us. Food issues will come up now. There can be disruptions in eating schedules or simply new and diverse foods to experience ~ each to our own. Arranging life to be healthier by making a commitment to the self takes much fine tuning. Just like carving a crude piece of wood that eventually turns into a smooth replica of our object of art.

 20^TH CHIRON REGRESS AQUARIUS Last April Chiron entered Pisces and created a huge shift for us to assimilate. Then early June this planet turned retrograde causing another shift or wobble in our equilibrium. Now it regresses back into Aquarius which in itself is representative of radical shifts. Certainly this can be interpreted as an opportunity to heal ourselves and get to whatever we might have missed. Self-development is always like the layers of the onion because we just cannot survive a drag-race leap to the core.

 We need guidance. We turn to whoever we trust; hopefully we will trust ourselves. Individualism is at the core of the Aquarian Age; but we have to ask ourselves at what cost are we prepared to achieve it? I am reminded of Ayn Rand's Galt's Gulch from the book Atlas Shrugged. What a great book to read at this time. We will feel like we do not fit, we are the odd-person out and may suffer from repressed woundedness and pain. But these intense peaks in our evolution will call upon our heart, nerve and sinew; intelligence, social vision and a high sense of responsibility. Remember, no one can do it for you. Keep on plugging. We are in a state of flux.

We are aware of our dysfunctions but perhaps we are at a loss as to how to normalise and so we struggle on. We plumb the depth of our soul. It is important to do whatever we can to ground ourselves. Root vegetables are very good for this. Foot reflexology improves our grounding mechanisms. Remember it is only the illusion of chaotic flux or being out of control that we are experiencing. This is the important part. We can and will fix this. But social norms are continuing to break down and we are feeling abandoned by our expectations.

By transforming our blocked energies we heal ourselves and regain our guidance mechanisms. We are all struggling to find our place in the world. At this time it is important to breakthrough imitations and boundaries that separate us from our psychological wellness. We need to rebuild our ego in a healthy way.
