Have you seen our new marketing campaign for Bold Community Change? Our aim is to demonstrate vividly the connection among education, financial stability and health.

It's all part of Trident United Way's effort to align individuals and organizations throughout the Lowcountry around the three goals of increasing the graduation rate, reducing poverty and improving health. Visit boldcommunitychange.com.

The creative minds behind this new approach were donated by the marketing communications firm Chernoff Newman

Financial Stability

TUW Uses Grant for
Benefit Bank Blitz

With help from a grant honoring the victims of Sept. 11, Trident United Way AmeriCorps members helped more than 50 low- and moderate-income residents apply for Food Stamps and other critical supports at its North Charleston office on Sept. 9. Lines for the service stretched out the door.

Families in crisis often do not know where to go to access help for basic necessities they cannot afford, due to unemployment or underemployment. By gaining access to basic supports, families can begin to invest time in activities that will help them become self-sufficient.

The grant was made by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the South Carolina Commission for National and Community Service, the funders of the TUW AmeriCorps program.
