With marketing support from TUW, this year's letter carrier food drive raised 142,000 pounds of food. That's 75% more than last year's food drive.
It's also double the amount raised three years ago, when TUW came on board. A major factor was the distribution of bags, made available by Publix Super Markets.
The Lowcountry Food Bank reports that the drive will feed 113,000 people. Thank you to everyone who left food by their mailbox, and to the letter carriers for volunteering on that day.

Healthy North Charleston

 A coalition of organizations led by the City of North Charleston & DHEC has made grants to programs promoting good nutrition and exercise. Trident United Way holds a leadership position in the group, whose goals align with TUW's work.
