More than 150 community investment volunteers are doing the hard work right now of evaluating requests for funding for '09-'10 and determining the most effective use of your contribution.
Volunteers focus on programs that demonstrate measurable results improving life for all of us in the Lowcountry. We'll report their recommendations and the Board of Directors' decisions in July.

Letter Carrier Food Drive Will Help Thousands

With TUW lending its marketing muscle this year, the "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive netted a 40% increase in food donations.
That translates to food for 76,500 hungry Lowcountry residents! Thanks to everyone who participated in the drive.

Suppose everyone in South Carolina graduated high school. It turns out it would have a dramatic effect on all our lives.
Research shows we would live longer. There would be 26,000 fewer obese adults and 28 fewer murders each year. We'd have fewer people in prison and more people employed.
