TUW Announces 2007 Community Investments
More than 200 volunteers culminated several months of work with their recommendations for investment of nearly $6 million of donations.
In late June, the Board of Directors approved the reccomendations. 2007-08 Community Investments Donors also direct another $2 million to specific agencies.

Links to Success Already a Hit
Trident United Way's half-million-dollar new initiative for at-risk youth has announced its primary partners and first nine area sites.
Communities in Schools of Charleston, Boys and Girls Club of the Trident Area and Communities in Schools of Dorchester will serve as "Integrated Service Providers" and use United Way investments to purchase services from other non-profit providers like Wings for Kids and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Links to Success is designed to help school-age children acquire the academic and life skills to graduate high school and be successful citizens.
In an editorial earlier this month, the Post and Courier lauded the plan, saying "Links to Success will peform a valuable service..."
