Introducing...Waterfowl Chesapeake Waterfowl Chesapeake, a new non profit organization focused entirely on consevation, will now serve as the Waterfowl Festival's partner in promoting the preservation of habitat within the Chesapeake Bay watershed and nearby coastal bays.
| Waterfowl Chesapeake board members, left to right: Tracie Thomas, C. Albert Pritchett, Ron Flohr, David O'Neill, and Jennifer Stanley. Not pictured: Peter Stifel. | This arrangement will strengthen the Festival's commitment to conservation, and it is hoped that Waterfowl Chesapeake will remind visitors of the Festival's true purpose. The Bay Street Ponds project was dramatic evidence of this partnership. For more on the story, click here to read the entire article in Tidings.

Flyways Tasting Tour at Premiere Night
Premiere Night awaits you on Thursday, November 10 at the Waterfowl Festival. Stroll downtown Easton, taste cuisines of 5 great flyways (Atlantic, Mississippi, Pacific, Mediterranean, and Central Asian), and enjoy the finest in nature art. To celebrate our 41st year, we offer our Premiere Night VIPS the chance to win a $500 gift certificate toward the purchase of any artwork from the Art at the Armory gallery during the Festival.

Location Changes A-Plenty!
For the first time in Waterfowl Festival history, the Tidewater Inn will not be hosting any of the galleries. In an effort to streamline the Festival itself, and to conserve the nonprofit organization's limited budget while keeping ticket prices low, the planners did some creative reconfiguring of exhibit venues.
The Painting Galleries became Art at the Armory and will move into the location previously held by the Chesapeake Carving Gallery. The Chesapeake Carving Gallery from the Armory and the Choptank Carving Gallery from the Easton Middle School come together at the Academy Art Museum. There is where our Premiere Night guests also will find the Cocktail Decoy Auction on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The departure of the Choptank Carving Gallery from Middle School left an empty space, so the Photography Gallery is moving there from the Historical Society Auditorium. The Sculpture Galleries condense back into two sites, Christ Church and the pavilion across from the Armory. The popular Retriever Demonstrations, Fly Fishing Demonstrations and Kids Fishing Derby return to Bay Street Ponds, which last hosted the events in 2001.
