Our Mission

Waterfowl Festival, Inc. is dedicated to wildlife conservation, the promotion of wildlife art, and the celebration of life on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

. . .Now, If We Can Do It Again
By Cyndy Carrington Miller

The weather was perfect, it was our 40th year, there was no major construction on the Bay Bridge, the economy was showing signs of renewed vigor and there were no current threats of terrorists or epidemics. In other words, everything and everyone came together last November to pull off the most successful Waterfowl Festival in a decade!

Attendance reached a ten year high of 19,000 - up 20% from the previous year. Gross art revenues increased 8% from 2009 and those sales made up a healthy 67% of the overall weekend revenue.

So what does this mean? That's what our directors and staff are trying to figure out! One thing is certain. As in the past, so in the future, it will take all of us to make it happen. All of our 1500 volunteers. All of our generous donors, sponsors, and business partners. All of our community partners and exhibitors. All working together with the mission of keeping an important community event fresh and new.

ENCORE!

Welcome, Exhibitors!

If you would be interested in sharing your home with any of our Festival exhibitors for the duration of the Festival this year, please give our office a call at 410-822-4567. You not only will be assisting our exhibitors in saving some hard-earned money, since the cost of lodging, like everything else, has skyrocketed, but you'll be donating to the Festival as well! And you'll be making a new friend who will probably turn into a very good old friend!
