Gifts to Waterfowl Festival Generous donations of land
At the end of 2008, the Waterfowl Festival was the recipient of two very generous tracts of land - the first being the Bay Street Ponds property which was donated to the Festival by the Grayce B. Kerr Fund, and the second being 4 acres of wooded land on Cordova Road, about two miles from Easton, donated by Douglas Ewing II.
Although there are no immediate plans for either property, the Waterfowl Festival was honored to receive these two gracious gifts, consistent with the Festival's mission of conservation.

Volunteer Party
If you missed the annual Volunteer Party in January, you missed one of the best parties ever! With a "Mardi Gras" theme and a band "Just Add Water" who donated their services for the event, one volunteer managed to dance right out of her shoes and left them behind. Now, if THAT'S not a good party, we don't know what is! Pictured above, the shoes are safe and sound in the Festival office whenever the volunteer would like to come and pick them up. Read more about the party and our great decorating crew plus see some fantastic party pictures in the latest issue of Tidings.
