Dave recently had the occasion to work with leaders from Agrium, a major retail supplier of agricultural products and services in North and South America, a leading global wholesale producer and marketer of all three major agricultural nutrients and the premier supplier of specialty fertilizers in North America. Before speaking, Dave had a chance to view an internal safety video shown to all new employees and contractors who visit or work onsite. This professionally made video is remarkable, not only because all of the "stars" are employees but because it effectively showcases Agrium's unique corporate culture. The genuinely funny, interesting video fulfilled a legal necessity without being boring or dry. It was actually a pleasure to watch! Corporate Jester applauds Agrium for taking the time to support some creative thinking towards the legal issues revolving around workplace safety which resulted in a solution that involved employees showcasing the company's positive culture and provided a ongoing cultural touchstone those employees are genuinely proud of.
Does your organization's collateral material clearly express and model your organization's desired culture? If not, why not? For more info about Agrium or its safety video, contact us by clicking here.

As you have probably aware, Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read each others' updates, known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters, displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to other users - known as followers - who have subscribed to them.
Corporate Jester has finally convinced Dave Riveness (our founder) to start tweeting. Look for him to comment daily (he promises!) about the organizations he meets with, the people he encounters and the insights he has.
As a bonus, here are some Twitter applications you might find useful! Just click the title to be taken to a webpage with more information.
Twhirl - lets you cross-post your updates to sites like LinkedIn, Facebook and MySpace.
Twitbin - lets you keep up with all your Twitter conversations right from your Firefox browser sidebar.
Spaz - a cross-platform, ad-free Twitter client with an attractive design and various customizable features.
Twitterberry - increase your Blackberry addiction with the capacity to connect to Twitter 24/7
Twellow - a Twitter Directory you can use to search for users by name, location or category.
