In last month's newsletter we introduced you to TED. Their annual conference brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers (such as Al Gore, Jane Goodall and Brian Greene), who are challenged to give the talk of their lives.
In perfect alignment with Corporate Jester philosophy, TED believes in the power of spoken thoughts and ideas in changing attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world.
We recently ran across a new talk we enjoyed and wanted to share with you. Alan Kay has spent years envisioning better techniques for teaching kids. During the first five minutes of his fascinating presentation about learning, Kay reminds us the world is always not what it seems to be.
He asserts people need techniques to see the world in different ways - to change their perspectives on what it is they think they are perceiving. On an organizational level, people need Jesters to help them do just that!
You can view this powerful video by clicking here. You can also view other interesting videos (including the talks he references) using the same link. |

Many of you have joined our Corporate Jester Group on LinkedIn, the professional networking website, but others have told us you spend more time using Facebook.
With that in mind, we invite you to join the brand new Corporate Jester networking group on Facebook.com!
We hope the site will provide an ongoing forum for those who wish create and foster Jestership in their organizations and would like to connect with others doing the same.
Facebook is designed to allow members to write to each other using the group's shared "wall" so we hope to see some interesting back and forth comments and conversations.
We need a critical mass of members before anything interesting can happen so please take a second to join by clicking here.
See you there!

We have been publishing the Corporate Jester newsletter for over a year now and appreciate all the great feedback and encouragement you have given us. One suggestion repeated made has been to create better access to past issues so subscribers can easily access content.
Towards that end we are unveiling a brand new archive. It is designed to provide easy access to all previous editions of the newsletter and includes a brief list of highlights for each issue so you can find what you are looking for quickly.
