Hi friends, The Full Moon in Pisces occurred on Friday September 4 @ 12:03pm EDT. You probably noticed it. I did. For 3 or 4 days this past week, the Moon woke me up in the middle of the night. The light was so bright, it was like a street lamp had been suddenly switched on outside my window. Moonlight is so beautiful - silvery and soft - and it's always a surprise to me that the Full Moon can light up the night (or a room) like that.

 

 

With all that Light streaming in, the Full Moon brings Full Illumination concerning what we started at the New Moon (in this case, the New Moon in Leo on August 20). The Full Moon is a time to celebrate, to bring things to fruition, to take them out into the light of night.

 

 

In addition, as most of us know, the Full Moon can make people a little, um, looney-tunes. The tidal pull on our watery emotions can bring feelings to the surface at this time. The Full Moon is "a period of excess when everything in nature brims over. Emotions, psychic energy, physiological activity - everything is at its maximum. Saturn is in Virgo. Saturn can mean fear, and Virgo is associated with Health Care.

Uranus is in Pisces. Uranus has anarchy urges - change and change NOW - and Pisces is concerned with compassion for - and service to - the disadvantaged.

 

 

So it is not much of a stretch to associate the historic Saturn-Uranus opposition with the struggle to revamp (or not revamp) the health care system in the US.

 

Because of Saturn's involvement (and because Saturnian Capricorn is now juiced up by plutonium drives) the divisive Health Care debate is not only intense, but is driven by people's FEARS - on both sides of the street. Fear of health care. Fear of no health care.

 

It's like there is this FEAR BUTTON inside every human brain (and every human root chakra) and when it gets pushed, we cannot think with our higher brain capacities. It is being pushed right now. The Reptilian Brain is freaking out. We are in a pressure cooker of human evolution which begs the question: can we stretch beyond the old knee-jerk fear-reaction and evolve?

 

 

Note: Saturn is associated with the elderly; and the care/fate/fears of the elderly are a big component of this debate.

 

Because of Uranus' involvement, there are people who are willing to throw down a lightning-bolt of change, wanting progressive reform NOW, no matter what the old-guard says. The urgency for them is based on: we've been trying to do this for decades. We the people want change and we want it NOW. The Aquarian Call of Destiny: Revolution.

 

Because of Virgo's involvement, day-to-day lives will be affected. And we will have to work to make this dream (Pisces) a reality. Yes, this summer was hard work, and more hard work is to come. (Those who want change to the health care system will tell you that the hard work toward that change has been going on for decades.)

 

Because of Pisces' involvement, the Health-Care Bill involved in this debate has not been read by most people engaged in the debate. This is Pisces nebulousness. Confusion is rampant. Deception lurks in a dense surrounding fog, pushing fear buttons on unconscious levels. And don't forget: Pisces also brings in a deep primal oceanic urge to compassionately reach out to suffering Humanity and provide for them, the desire to end their suffering. <<All human beings come from a mother's womb. So, Saturn and Uranus are staring each other down from across the room, arms crossed on their chests. This is a gridlock. Who will blink first?

 

NOTE (and this is important): The 3rd 'hit' of the historic Saturn-Uranus opposition just described above occurs on September 15, 2009.

On September 11th - that Day of Infamy - Pluto will turn around and begin moving forward again (apparent motion from earth). It's been moving backward since April 4, 2009. Pluto's about-faces are particularly powerful. They have the tendency to cause unsettling underground rumblings - and make permanent changes in our lives.

 

 

Last September, Pluto's turnaround and plowing forward had a ferocious quality to it, as the global economy took a spectacular tumble within days (Pluto turned direct on September 8, 2008 and the stock market crashed on September 15, 2008). I'm not saying that will happen again - and there were many other factors involved with that seeming sudden crash. However events this fall will have turbo power injected into them.

 

 

As mentioned above, Saturn-Uranus is The ENTRENCHED Clash of the Titans; and Pluto adds fuel to the showdown. Power is Up For Grabs.

We are currently in the 6th Day (of the Galactic Underworld) of the Mayan Calendar. The 6th Day began on November 13, 2008.   
 

The 6th Night begins on November 8, 2009. Calleman says we may be in for an economic downfall again - especially involving paper monies losing their value. Last year we saw the effects coming in a few months before, so this fall has that flavor to it.

 

 

Astrologically, we can look to Pluto's newly minted Capricorn vehicle, and to the Uranus-Saturn opposition as other indicators of these shifts.

 

 

 

During the Equinoxes, the Earth's auric or magnetic field is affected by the Sun's alignment with the Earth's equator. The Equinox Solar Effect produces a reduction in the magnetic field of the Earth, providing easier access to other dimensions, beginning around 24 hours before, and ending around 24 hours after the exact Equinox point. The 2009 Autumnal Equinox occurs on September 22 @ 5:19pm. As I wrote earlier this year, the Autumn Equinox is the FINAL (wide) eclipse portal closure. This wider portal began at the Spring Equinox. Because the Equinox is all about BALANCE, we are now asked to bring all of the changes we've been through (especially the eclipse effects) into balance. Now we move into the harvest.

 

 

At the Spring Equinox portal (on March 20, 2009) we were off to the races, and a time-bubble was set into motion. This time-bubble extends from Spring Equinox to Fall Equinox - and had encased within it an Eclipse Portal with a series of 3 eclipses. The emphasis of this Eclipse Portal focused on the July 22, 2009 'Total Eclipse of the Century'. This bubble is timing-out now.

 

 

The 2009 Autumnal Equinox chart carries a gift - a Kite figure which is built upon the Saturn-Uranus opposition. At the time of the Equinox, Mercury Retro is right next to Saturn at 25 Virgo (exact to within 33 minutes). They build on a large watery (emotional, sensitive, intuitive) triangle, and add a dose of earthy grounding and practical thinking to it. 

 

 

The Kite formation in general brings an easy, flowing energy - a grace, dharma or gift which comes easily to us. The building blocks involved are: (1) no-nonsense thinking and practical hard work; (2) progressive radical thinking crying out for revolutionary new democratic forms in support of the people; (3) the presence of The Shadow and repressed/hidden power-urges; and (4) the lurking insecurities rooted in Humanity's ancestry.

 

 

This indicates that there could be a breakthrough in the Health Care struggle this fall (the Equinox chart remains in effect until the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2009.) In other words, a celestial wind is at our back (the kind with which one might fly a kite?!) which could help us to: (1) let go of the ancient fear-based ways (2) become aware of forces behind the scenes wielding power in the shadows and playing on our personal repressed material; and (3) come up with a plan to radically change and rebuild one of our crumbling structures in an integrous manner.

 

 

With the water signs, the key is to move your consciousness and action-taking into the heart, and make your decisions (both practical and progressive) from there. Just note that, with a lot of 'watery' energy, we do need to be careful not to get too emotional and blot out our ability to see clearly. That is the downside of this Kite. Keep your feet on the ground and your mind as clear as possible.

 

 

The effects of the Equinox span 24-hours before to 24-hours after the exact Equinox. During this time, access to other dimensions is heightened. Here is an opportunity to set intentions for the upcoming season, and to open up to new information from the celestial which can guide us in our gauntlet-run between the opposites.
