Chris Malanga, United Way CEO remarked that while Williams County was short of their goal, in this economy everyone should be proud.

"Just for comparison's sake, other United Way organizations in our region have experienced the same struggles this year.  Defiance County finished their campaign more than $27,000 below goal.  Henry County didn't set a goal, but finished $26,000 below last year's total.  Fulton County had a very tough year, finishing their campaign at $68,000 below goal.  As you can see, we are not alone in our struggles."

Mr. Voigt summed it up best when he said, "when we were planning the campaign, we had no idea how difficult it was going to be."
