United Way nears $300,000 mark
Agency reminds donors of Dec. 31 deadline for 2007 tax deduction
Bryan, Ohio - December 14, 2007 - The United Way of Williams County has surpassed the three-quarters mark and is currently at $296,855 or 81% of its $365,000 fund-raising goal, officials announced today.
"We are so pleased with the results of the campaign thus far," said Cindy Castor, co-chair of Campaign 2007. "We have been very successful, but we need everyone's continued support in order to reach our goal."
Chris Malanga, Chief Executive Officer, noted that several additional campaigns have completed and reported their results. Among them: Bard Manufacturing ($18,300), Woolace Electric ($15,000), Potter, Inc. ($8,627), Archbold Furniture ($3,164), NRP Financial ($2,773), Huntington Bank ($2,132), Fifth Third Bank ($1,510), and Penrod & George ($530)."December 31st is the deadline for contributions to be made for tax-deductibility for the year 2007," stated Malanga. "So we encourage all companies to wrap things up and report the results to the United Way soon. Individuals and leadership givers should forward their contributions to the office before the end of the year, if they wish them to be counted for this year."
Dollars raised in the 2007 Campaign will benefit the 32 partner agencies of the United Way of Williams County during 2008. As an integral part
