Join us for Swearing-In Ceremony Today - At the Capitol or Online
As we prepare to kick-off the 106th General Assembly,
let me once again tell you how much your personal
commitment and support has meant to Brittany and I
during the campaign. I will work hard to serve the
people of Robertson County well and I ask for your
continued prayers and support.
Many have e-mailed me asking for the details on
today's swearing-in ceremony. It will truly be an
exciting time as the new members are sworn in and
we elect a Republican Speaker to replace Jimmy
Naifeh! The session will begin at 12 noon today,
January 13. There are two ways you can join in:
- Come to the State Capitol and watch from the
House gallery (it is recommended you arrive at least
two hours early to obtain a seat in the gallery)
- Watch the ceremony online - Click
Here (the
actual live streaming feed will not be available until
shortly before noon)
If you are joining us in person, there is a breakfast
open to my guests at 8:00 a.m. and an afternoon
celebration reception at 4:30 p.m. If you are
interested in joining us for either of these, please e-
mail me or give my office a call. I hope you'll join us in
person, or online, for this historic opportunity!
I also need to remind you that today at noon is the last
opportunity to make campaign contributions until we
get out of session in May. You can make a
contribution by going to www.EvansFor
House.com
and clicking on "Contribute".
Positive change is coming come to Capitol Hill in
Nashville, and I am excited to be part of the wave of
reform and progress that is about to occur. I have
spoken many times of the importance of new
leadership in the House, and I am confident this
election will bring that change.
Thanks again for your part in bringing conservative
leadership to Tennessee.,
