There is something inherently therapeutic and restorative about being in or on the water, especially with weather this beautiful!
Trina recently ventured out of the city and spent a fantastic weekend in Muskoka doing all kinds of outdoor activities, including kayaking for the first time!
There is no limit to the range of water sports you can try, and you're bound to fall in love with at least one new outdoor activity this summer, all you have to do is pick something you're drawn to, and GET OUT THERE!!

We deserve to have summer fun over the weekends, yes? YES! But staying cognizant of the inevitable return of Monday will help keep us balanced and energized throughout all the days of summer!
...with that in mind, sometimes a long-weekend at the cottage makes it tricky to bounce back into regular mode.

Baby Steps ~ ONE thing at a time!
When you get excited about a new fitness plan (or any new changes or challenges in your life) it can be very easy to want to charge full-speed ahead conquering any and all ground and trying to do it all at once...
If this works for you, by all means, GO FOR IT, but I just want to make sure you give youself permission to focus your energy on one attainable new goal at a time (hence, "baby steps")!
For instance, if you feel compelled to amp your fitness level to new heights and want to train for a triathalon (AMAZING), your first new fitness routine could be swimming laps 2x a week at the community pool (vs swimming 50 laps, followed by a 10K run, followed by a 15K bike ride).
I don't want to discourage you from pushing your limits (because you can do ANYTHING!), but do remember that fitness and health feels goood, so enjoy the process - that's what it's all about!
