It's hard to believe it has been almost 6 months since Trina was exporing the bush of South Africa, facing & conquering unforeseeable challenges, and bringing joy and health to the lives of tons of Mozambiquians....It is one of those experiences that seems like a lifetime all in its own!

Baby Steps ~ TRY A NEW SPORT!!!

Keeping with the theme of exercise through the ages, it is never too late to try something NEW!
 
Why not take up a new sport, for instance!!  You don't have to even have an athletic background - there are lots of opportunities to join recreational level leagues, as well as more intermediate and advanced competitive teams depending on your preference and motivation!
 
Check out the Toronto Sports and Culture Club @ http://www.torontossc.com/They have everything from dodgeball to tennis to ultimate frisbee....and you can choose to play at a level you are comfortable and excited about!

Q: We all know that we need to drink water everyday...but just how much water do we need, and is there such a thing as too much?
 
A: Water is ideally your primary source for staying hydrated, but it's hard to prescribe an intake formula that fits everyone - you know your body best! Factors such as your health, activity level, and where you live can affect how much water you need personally.
 
A good way to gauge your necessary water consumption is by considering your output - on average, we emit about 10 cups (roughly 2 L) of water from our bodies a day (through urine, perspiration, and breathing), so aim to replace what you think you have lost!  And remember to increase your intake of water the hotter it is and the more active you are!!
