TRINA IS BACK FROM MOZAMBIQUE!!!!!!
What a humbling experience to go to a place where getting a toothbrush is considered fun.
WOW - my mission in Mozambique was to give 500 orphans a Christmas party, to bring joy to their lives and give them an actual Christmas gift.
Our team made a meal of chicken and rice for these kids and gave them new clothes along with toothbrushes and hats. We also taught the kids how to brush their teeth. For some of them this was the first time and they were 10!
I would have never thought of a toothbrush as a fun gift!!
It truly was a humbling adventure to stay and play with these kids. I will be sharing many stories in the months to come! |

You don't have to take up extreme sports to make the most of the chilly months!
Bundle up and go for a stroll, build a snowman, go tobogganing (fantastic exercise), or challenge yourself and try something new...like cross-country skiing! The endorphins that you generate from exercise in addition to the rush from doing something new will give you a whole new perspective on the oppotrtunities available at the start of a new year.

| Find the Right Balance for 2010 |
Do you have enough balance in your life?
Martha Dove and Associates Inc. are a team of Career Counsellors and Coaches who will help you achieve that balance and extend your personal and professional potential! Read the article below to get started!
A healthy life is a balanced life.
For many of us balancing physical fitness-- with mental and emotional well-being -- is our number one resolution for 2010.
Each of us makes investments in a number of important areas - or "boxes' - in our lives. Usually we have 4 "boxes": work, family, community and ourselves. We run into problems if we put all our emotional time and psychological rewards into just one "box". Do you know someone who's given all their time and energy to their job or business? If they lose their job, or go bankrupt, it can be devastating.
Do you ever feel you're spreading yourself "to thin"? Instead of making time for yourself to exercise and relax, you find yourself running around taking care of others?
When you're looking for more balance in your life, sitting down with a professional work-life coach can help. They can help you look objectively at where you're spending your time and energy now. And they can offer guidance and support as you make changes to reach your new personal, physical and professional best.

Q: At what temperature is it too cold to exercise outside?
A: To be honest, don't let that cold air discourage you - as long as you are conscious of any exposed skin & dressed properly!
Exposed skin can get frost bite in 15 minutes or less once the temperature drops below -10 F. That is why it is important for you to be dressed appropriately when it comes to winter activities.
If you are concerned about exercise-induced asthma, it is caused by DRY air primarily, rather than cold air. So dress warm and get out there!! | |
