Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy day to read about all that is happening with Allen Community Outreach.  ACO wants you to know how much we appreciate the support we receive from individuals, businesses and groups within the Allen, Fairview and Lucas area.  It is because of this support that we are able to continue to help families in need with food, clothing, financial assistance, and programs to help transform their lives for the better.  We welcome you to stop by any time and see firsthand what a positive impact your support makes.

Thank you!

 Caring Coins Drive

Small change to make big change

Caring Coins

Throughout the month of October, collection containers are in most Allen and Lovejoy schools.  Children at these schools are encouraged to drop in their pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters.  These are real kids helping real kids. With the combined efforts of thousands of children it all adds up to transforming lives in our community. So when your child asks for your change, know that it is going to change the live of a friend in our area.

Food Pantry Food Pantry
The ACO Food Pantry continues to support families in our area with fresh produce, canned goods, and meats to help feed their families.  In the month of September, the Food Pantry gave away a record amount of food - 21,567 pounds in total.  This food went to 193 families. The total number of individuals that were provided supplies for their pantry was 679 of which almost half were children.

ACO put out a call for help in the month of September as the shelves were bare.  We had a tremendous response, and we appreciate the support we received from our community. The need continues month to month, and we thank you all for your continued donations throughout the year to take care of those families that need a helping hand.
