We have been testing pod brewers and coffees for a couple of years and there were always shortcomings. This new brewer from Bunn and the newer 61cm pods from premium roasters like Wolfgang Puck have closed the gap completely.
The Bunn pod brewers do not have a huge water tank, only 1 cup, but heat up within seconds and you pour in the water for the cup you want, it makes that size cup.
Also, you can stop the brew at any time and really control the cup size.
Pods prices are currently about 25% less than k-cups and the the market will remain more competitive because pods are not proprietary (like Keurig, Tassimo, Nespresso, etc.).
