November 2010
Greetings!
From time to time, I believe every organization needs to take stock. We do this to make sure that along the way we have not lost site of our goals and in particular of the values we share with those who support us.
Not long ago, the MRF did a bit of this taking stock. In reviewing the vision and mission of the organization that was set out in 2002, we found nearly perfect alignment with our current efforts. As the organization’s president and founder, it is rewarding to see that our staff has remained focused and continues to make progress toward the MRF’s founding goals: To demonstrate a model for medical research that will shorten the time to market for new medicines, in particular the next generation therapy for multiple sclerosis.
We also took this opportunity to spell out a set of values that we think reflects who we are and how we approach the work that so many of you have helped to make possible.
These are the values that are guiding our work every day.
- Results & Accountability
- Ambitious
- Speed and Impatience
- Commitment
- Independence & Individuality
- Openness & Creativity
- Collaboration
- Recognizing individual areas of expertise
