Photographed for David Thorne Landscape Architect

Greetings!
I was speaking with a writer yesterday that was interviewing me for an article on how to hire a photographer. One of the things that came to light was the misconception that "I can't afford to hire a professional photographer," and also the belief that "if I had the right camera and lens I could take professional quality photos." I imagine the counterpart to this would be to say if I bought the right drafting table and the right drawing tools I could do professional quality design, or if bought a Maserati I would be a better driver. There is more to creating compelling images than having good equipment. My question to you is this: Can you afford not to have professional quality photography on your website? How may opportunities are you loosing because people are going to another website that has more compelling images? The first thing that get's attention on your website are the photos. If a prospect has to choose between your website and the competition, who are going to choose? And if you think you can't afford to make the leap, take advantage of the auction at the bottom of this page.

P.S. I'll be in Sequoia/Kings Canyon from August 16 through 28, so if you wish to contact me, please do not delay, or wait until I'm back in the office on August 29.
