Art, Nature and Conservation October 11, 2010 North Peak Reflected in Cascade Lake Greetings! Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. - John Muir   The summer went by in a blur and I'm still trying to comprehend where the time went. A summer outing took our family to the Twenty Lakes Basin in the Hoover Wilderness. This has become one of our favorite spots, with easy access and spectacular scenery. The image above is a panorama captured on a morning while the air was still and I had reflections on Cascade Lake. Five minutes after taking this photo the breeze came up and the reflection lost it's mirror quality. I also produced a 360 degree panorama at dusk which you can view as a QTVR file.
