Stippling with Style
Saturday, Feb 4 from 10:30-5
Stippling Shillig

If you have practiced machine quilting or have taken a beginning machine quilting class, Beth's Stippling with Style Class will take you to a whole new level of quilting!! Quilting is a must have skill, and this is a MUST-HAVE CLASS!

This is a notebook style class: you will make samples of various freehand quilting stitches and background fillers and start your own reference manual for the future.  Class is not designed for absolute beginners, but just a tiny bit of freehand experience is all that is necessary!

Beth is an award winning quilter, and we are fortunate to have her at QuiltTrends. Her quilting is magnificent, her teaching style is easy, and you'll have fun learning from her.

In a relaxed atmosphere, you will spend the time experimenting and learning how much you can easily accomplish on your home sewing machine.  Feel free to bring lunch or munchies to enjoy at your leisure during class. Level: Beginner with some quilting experience  $45/SP$25

BS FeathersFeeling fairly comfortable with freehand machine quilting & ready for the next step?  Spend the day experimenting with fabulous feather designs and learn to add depth & texture with echo quilting.

Some think that feathers are always very traditional, and they can be! Beth will show you ways to make feathers fit in a contemporary quilt as well as traditional.

This is a notebook style class, so you will create samples for you to take home & keep as a reference of great things to come in your free motion quilting journey.

Feel free to bring lunch or munchies to enjoy at your leisure during class. Level: some quilting experience is best  $45/SP$25

More QT Classes!
Binding, et al!
Thursday, Feb 2 from 6-9

We've had many requests for this class, and many have questions about finishing their quilts. If this is you, join Sue for a hands-on binding session. In this class you will master the easy art of mitering a perfect corner, how to join the beginning and end of the binding, how to make reversible  or two color binding, using a different binding on each edge of a quilt, making bias binding and applying it to a scalloped edge.

Bring your machine and a few strips, we'll provide quilted squares. Or, if you prefer to just watch, treat this as a lecture class. But hands on wins with me, hands down!!

All are welcome. Please call and register soon so we can prepare for you. Instructor: Sue Sandritter Class Fee is $20.

Beginning Machine Quilting

Monday, Feb 6 from 6-9

ES Tulip.jpgElizabeth Spilker is teaching this beginning class, and she is such a great teacher, not to mention very creative quilter, you're gonna love it! If you'e taken Sue's beginning class and now need to learn to quilt, sign up!

Have you ever heard, "It's not a quilt until it's quilted?" Well, it's true! Take this class and you'll learn about using the walking foot for simple lines, and then switch to your free motion foot (embroidery or hopping foot) for all kinds of easy designs.

It's best to have a class to learn quilting, because it's all in the relationship of speed! Your foot VS your hands! Who wins? You do, with the beautiful quilting you learn to do, starting with this class.

Level: beginner, must have working knowledge of your machine and how to change presser feet, and attach the embroidery (or hopping) feet    $25
