The European Union turns 50 years old on
March 25, 2007. Most businesses
recognize the EU and the US as the two major
trading blocks in the world economy with
trade relationships that form the backbone of
many of the largest global businesses.
This webinar is an introduction to the
European Union
from the perspective of an American
transaction tax
professional. Directed at individuals who
are new to VAT practice, this session will
explain the fundamental differences between
the European Economic Union, the Monetary
Union, and the Customs Union.
Aside from introducing the audience the two
newest
members of the EU, Romania and Bulgaria, this
webinar will explain how American businesses
structure commercial relationships in light
of basic
VAT principles. We will examine why an
American
firm would consider selling through an EU
branch, and
why distance sales through digital mediums
might be
preferable in other instances.
Attendees will learn:
* How Taxware Enterprise, the ADP Taxware
global engine, is an
effective tool in
calculating transaction taxes
* How Taxware Enterprise makes
compliance an easier task for tax
departments
* How Taxware Enterprise facilitates global
transaction tax
planning
for US multinational businesses.
