It's a hot topic among business and IT executives.
It's on the radar screen for a growing number of
companies. And it's something that you may have
experienced first hand- even though you may not
realize it. It's Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA) and you can run into it when making
online purchases or even when buying product at your
favorite brick and mortar retailer. SOA frameworks
allow a number of disparate software systems to
communicate and interact with one another. One
system might contain all of the descriptive
information about the item you want to buy. Another
might be monitoring inventory to make sure that the
item is available. While a third system is standing
by to process your payment information. These are
all different systems developed at different times
by different vendors. Yet here they are successfully
interacting with one another because of SOA.
The implications for business are profound. SOA
enables you to tap into different capabilities from
different systems, different software programs, and
different sources. In this webinar, we'll talk about
initiatives underway at ADP Taxware to move the
company towards Service Oriented Architecture - and
the potential benefits to ADP
Taxware customers.
You will learn how ADP Taxware is using SOA to:
- Integrate disparate applications
- Improve business agility by adapting our
products and our business
- Re-use legacy systems rather than reinvent the
wheel
If your company is serious about SOA, this webinar
should broaden your horizons.
