  • Making A Difference With The Next Generation
  • Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley

What do Donovan McNabb, Michael Jordan and Colin Powell have in common? They’ve all been mentors. Men, you are needed to help boys in at risk situations! Several boys who are proud of their African American heritage have applied for a mentor, someone they can “look up to”, a trusted friend. Please consider taking a couple hours a week at your convenience to make a difference in a young man’s life.

Two personal mentoring programs, Aspires (in partnership with the Lehigh County Conference of Churches) for Allentown youth, and Roads to Success, for Easton youth, serve boys and girls enrolled in Communities In Schools stay-in-school programs for grades 6-12. Women mentors are always needed, too, but boys wait far longer to be matched.

To learn more about opportunities to mentor a student in search of guidance and friendship contact: Gale Siess (610) 402-3822; email siessg@cislv.org.
