Network Friends:
I'd like to welcome the Living Stone Fellowship church
to the network! You can read about their upcoming
Special Service on June 6th.
Well, the 'technology gremlins' got me last edition
(LV BNN #139 Tuesday May 3rd). I tried to
incorporate my newest electronic tool in the e-letter,
the Mini Poll. Unfortunately, some people could view
it, but some people could not. We'll try it again later
once I work out the bugs.
The next few weeks are packed with an array of
community cultural and social events. Summer is
here! Take the time to indulge yourself and
appreciate the many activities arranged by our
network partners!
Remember, tell a neighbor, tell a friend and be
sure to let them know, you saw it in LV BNN!!
Support the organizations and businesses that
support LV BNN. Enjoy this Edition.

Allentown Art Museum presents Linda McCartney's Sixties--Portrait of an Era Opens May 29 |

Linda Eastman McCartney (1941-1998) covered the
American music scene first as house photographer at
New York City's Fillmore East concert hall, and then
as the pioneering photographer for the start-up
publication Rolling Stone. McCartney's spontaneous
photographs of such musical greats such as The
Beatles, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Ray
Charles, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin capture not
only her subjects' personalities, but the flavor of an
entire era.
Special exhibition admission: Free M, $4 NM
Opening party June 4: Free M, $10 NM
Call 610-432-4333 x29 to RSVP by June 2
Major support for this exhibition is provided by the
Harry C. Trexler Trust. It was organized with
permission of the Estate of Linda McCartney.

alcoholics and addicts. We share our experience,
strength and hope with one another to help solve our
common problem and to enhance our personal

In 2003, Coca Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh
Valley established a $100,000 recreation fund at
United Way, called the Coca Cola Bottling Company
of the Lehigh Valley "Sports Connection for Kids"
Fund. Through the company's generous sponsorship,
youth recreation grant funds were again made
available in 2005. Thirty-One grants were awarded
this year to organizations that provide recreational
programming to more than 8,900 children throughout
the Lehigh Valley.
On March 29th of 2005, The Black Heritage
Association of the Lehigh Valley was chosen by
the United Way Youth Recreation Grant Committee to
receive a grant in the amount of $2,300 for its
Valania Park Youth Basketball league.
The Valania Park Youth
Basketball league is a recreational program
designed to provide organized structured recreational
basketball for youth ages 11-17 years of age during
the summer months at Valania Park in Allentown PA.
