Hey! Rotarians, were are taking this newsletter to the next level with on the spot videos.  These "Rotary Minutes" or in this case, our  "Rotary Round Up Minute" had be quickly produced and ready for viewing with week.  Our first "talent" is Livia De Los Rios.  Livia is with the fund raising committee and  is working hard to secure silent and live auction items.  So I approached Livia after the Mondays meeting and in four minutes I got the Ipod out and said "action" She did it all segments on the first take!  (such a professional!) Now you can watch our budget "Rotary Minute" You'll find the link at the bottom of "I won the Gold poster below.

Be sure to check out Orange Rotary's Facebook page, link is listed under "quick links" on right side of column.  Here you find lot pictures of our Club members and what there talking about. If you have photos you would like to post to our FB page, but don't know how to do it, see at our weekly meeting and will get those photos available for all our member to see!

    President Ron's Weekly Message

The New York Times recently had an article of interest to me. It read, "adding a new chapter to the research that cemented the phrase "six degrees of separation" into the language, scientists at Facebook and the University of Milan reported on Monday that the average number of acquaintances separating any two people in the world was not six but 4.74."

So, what does this mean.  Well, there are many people in our community and county that would be pleased to do something positive for our fund raiser, if they only knew about it.  Obviously, I do not know who they all are! However, it is obvious that between our 100 Plus of minus active members, considering the 4.74 ratio, we all know dozens and dozens of folk in Orange and Orange County who could and would help us with funds, auction items, sports seats of boxes to Baseball, Hockey, Theater etc.  Special wines, meals, and parties could be among the items offered if you will just ask.

OK, I know you got the idea, so, please act on it now before you forget, or miss an opportunity.  BY THE WAY, DO NOT FORGET TO SELL OR PAY FOR THOSE "ROTARY RAWHIDE ROUNDUP" TICKETS.  Thank you.

Global Polio Eradication
For the past three years, Rotary clubs have illuminated landmarks and iconic structures around the world with the humanitarian group's dramatic pledge to End Polio Now. This year's round of light displays takes on added significance due to the progress Rotary and its partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative have made in India. In January, India -- until recently an epicenter of the crippling childhood disease -- reached a historic milestone by marking a full year without recording a single new case.
