Epilogue

Understanding the Correlation between Kingdom Now and Kingdom Come is Critical!

As we get down the wire on the Kingdom of God, it is necessary to let Jesus Christ the King Himself speak to our hearts again through The Word. A few scriptures capture the essence of the critical correlation between Kingdom Now and Kingdom Come and bear repetition.

It is necessary to summarise the central thrust of this course because as has been variously outlined in this study, two opposite errors assail the Kingdom.

As we pointed out, the first is the religious spirit which negates as it were Kingdom Now(present dimension  of The Kingdom of God) and  responsibilities of saints to actively manifest it but rather deceives them to  focus all attention on Kingdom Come(when they are transported to heaven to enjoy God and the angels forever and ever).

We showed that such an outlook discourages saints from actively engaging with the cultures and environments they are born into or live within. This theology glorified poverty, sickness and difficulties of life as proof of holiness thereby giving Satan right of way to hinder manifestation of sons of God on this side of eternity! Counting their time on earth and ever waiting for the rapture in this manner negates what Jesus preached and practised. This approach simply makes saints to be become escapist and irresponsible to their generations. At the end of the day, no saint with this mindset will ever fulfil destiny and the divine purpose. Based on Matthew 5:13-16, they may simply be either fit to be thrown out as useless or if they manage to 'squeeze' into eternity, there will be little or no rewards.

The counter theology which emerged was even worse: The pseudo-kingdom movement. Propelled by the fertile imaginations of some of the most brilliant but backslidden saints, they pushed carnality to new heights. By using their mental faculties to frame God and His Kingdom, they invented a theology that is a sure highway to hell and the Lake of Fire. That grotesque 'theology' frames the Kingdom of God in its fullness as a 'Now' proposition.

Saints, this is a serious matter! Pause for a moment and set aside your theology to ask the Holy Spirit one question: are these things written in this work true? Whatever He tells you, please do!
