Course 111: The Kingdom of God - Lesson #19
A Subduing Kingdom
Nothing is as demeaning as to hear saints speak of the 'Kingdom' in terms which suggest co-habitation with the fallen, destruction bound systems of this world!
Many there are who confuse the Earth with the World! The earth is the planet comprising land, sea, gasses, natural resources and all the things put in place to sustain human life - the only unique such place out of the countless planetary system God created. The earth, though heavily polluted with blood and an atmosphere poisoned with the world system will one day be purified to prepare it for an eternal role.
The world on the other hand is the complex and intricate system of things which govern how men live on earth. It includes belief systems, economic systems, financial systems, judicial systems and indeed every way of life ranging from fashion, culinary tastes of various people groups and various rites of passage including how people are received at birth; marriage and transition to eternity.
Back of the systems of the world including various religions - old age and new age ideologies which purport to show the way to God but deny the centrality of Jesus as the only way - is the 'god' who snatched the crown of humanity from Adam - Satan. His boast to Jesus concerning the Kingdoms of this world was no fluke Matthew 4:8-9 and Jesus rightly recognized him as such John 14:30
To suggest that Egypt and Babylon combined - for that is what the system of this world amount to will compete in our hearts for the real deal of the true Canaan, the Land flowing with Milk and Honey which our Kingdom is cannot but be a shrink case!
Let no one deceive you with sweet words and sophistry disguised as Kingdom talk: The world as we know it is doomed for destruction! It just cannot stand the fire of the Presence of the King and His Holiness! The world as we know it has gone past redemption and all claims to transformation by the Kingdom message are at best hallucinatory! Yes, we will function as Salt and Light as explained in earlier chapters of this treatise. But the best impact we can ever make will not change the way the world is set up and functions! That may seem to be a hard saying but the truth is that as long as the world rejects Christ (over 50 percent at any time do out rightly while about 30 percent or so want to serve Him on their own terms). It may sound difficult but the truth is that our lives and preachments will be rejected and act as a witness against the world and its people ultimately!

A Very Dangerous Kingdom with a 'deadly' proposition!
This same expensive and priceless Kingdom is also a very dangerous one! At the heart of the danger is the straight gate of death of self so that the King will be all in all!
Matthew 7:13-14; 21-23
King James Version (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Do not be confused by the caviar eating, doughnut munching heralds of another gospel which they insultingly brand the Kingdom message! There is nothing wrong with eating caviar, dough nuts lest any get us wrong! It is the subtle hint that if you embrace the Kingdom message, all your troubles are over and you will begin to get all the 'blessings' you missed out in all the years of 9-5pm hard labour. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Course 111: The Kingdom of God - Lesson #17
A Priceless Kingdom worth more than anything else!
Of this Kingdom whereof The Holy Writ speaks, let us take note of another feature: It is Priceless, so much so that EVERYTHING Satan and the world can ever offer to the human flesh pale into insignificance!
The saying 'what has the wheat got to do with chaff' captures the essence of the True Kingdom of God: that which cannot be possessed by Flesh and Blood and would require a translation first to access truly access.
1 Corinthians 15:50

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
To explore this concept of pricelessness, let us recourse again to The King Himself to hear how He rates the Kingdom and why He demands nothing short of singleness of mind and intensity of focus for its apprehension by those who claim to be His own.
Matthew 13:44-46

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Any human being who would suspend pursuit of ambitions and dreams that are functions of what the soul desires for enjoying the good life now or in the future in other to submit to the Kingship of Jesus to live for His agenda on earth will apprehend this Kingdom whereof we speak. It is worth everything we can ever spend to procure!
