Course 111: The Kingdom of God - Lesson #4 -
The Kingdom of God: A Treasure of Great Price to be sought above all else!
The true Kingdom of God is a treasure of great price as Jesus articulated in some of His Parables. Whoever will understand the Kingdom of God must understand the parables and their time context!
Matthew 13:44-46
King James Version (KJV)
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
In that same Matthew 13, Jesus used two more Parables of the Kingdom were used to illustrate how precious it is:
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Jesus, in His inimitable style of teaching was determined to press home the point that the Kingdom is one that should be sought with all focus and so highly esteemed that you do not want to lose it. Faced with certain death, Jesus Christ Himself witnessed a good confession before Pontus Pilate when, among other things, He boldly declared that His Kingdom is not of this world. John 18:36. Jesus esteemed the world to come of greater value than His temporal life which was brutally terminated at 33 and half. The joy set before Him in the afterlife was an extraordinary motivation to bear the pain! Philippians 2:5-11 with Hebrews 12:1-2.

Ten Facts about the Kingdom Message
The word of God never plays with words. Of the Kingdom of God, these are some 10 critical truths we need to remember always before we swim into the deeper waters of this message of the Kingdom:
- The Kingdom was announced by John and preached by Jesus. Jesus never came to establish a religious organization Matthew 3:1-2; Matthew 4:17, 23; Matthew chapters 5, 6, 7. Over the years, Babylon has the Church in its grip causing her to down play the message of The Kingdom and cavort with all manner of dogmas and creeds which produce men and women who are ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of truth. As such people have a form of godliness but lack the power to live right, the world is filled with the sorry spectacle of those who troop to religiously designed buildings on fellowship days to switch their moods and attitudes for say three hours when they do 'Church' only to go back to their vomit.
Such people have not been taught that they are the first level Church where God Himself inhabits (1 Corinthians 6: 18-21) and that the Church is not the building but the saints who have been called out from the world to be the Kingdom of Priests and Kings that Jesus came to inaugurate the first fruit. To preach this compelling message but unpopular which demands death of the old man in saints so that they can live wholly unto God is an urgent need of the hour that will pave the way for return of the King of Kings who would consummate the full phase of the Kingdom. Those who would lose control of their lives and trust the benefice of the King with reckless abandon not having a Plan B in their walk with God have seen the Kingdom and walk in the reality of it! Of such neither height nor depth, nor death nor life nor indeed any other thing can separate them from the love of God in Christ as Paul found in Romans 8:28-39. Jesus yearns that this message be preached again all over the world before He returns - to both believers and unbelievers!

Course 111: The Kingdom of God - Lesson #2:
Escapism/ Religion V The Kingdom & its 4 Pillars
The doctrine of escapism laid the foundation of the pseudo-kingdom gospel
Before the present erroneous pseudo-kingdom gospel - which insists that this present era is the time to recover all that was lost about the Kingdom in Adam - was spawned, Satan had hoisted its equally dangerous opposite on many religious groups for several hundreds of years. It was the doctrine of escapism whereby saints only existed on earth to "wait" for the day of the rapture. They were encouraged to see separation from the world as an excuse to be indifferent and irresponsible for fate of their societies and nations while on earth.
With heaven only latched onto their minds, saints were to give way for sinners to run the show here on earth while they daily looked up to see when the Rapture would occur. Consequently, saints refused to participate in a host of activities that would in any way advance the frontiers of human civilization. In one African nation, religious leaders even dissuaded their youth from spending five to six years in the University to study such specialized courses as Medicine, Pharmacy and Architecture. This irresponsible approach to waiting for the Kingdom to come was an act of direct disobedience to the commands of Jesus to "Occupy" till He comes as well as several injunctions for effective presence of saints on earth. Luke 19:10-28; Matthew 5:13-16;
