Course 111: The Kingdom of God - Lesson #2:
Escapism/ Religion V The Kingdom & its 4 Pillars
The doctrine of escapism laid the foundation of the pseudo-kingdom gospel
Before the present erroneous pseudo-kingdom gospel - which insists that this present era is the time to recover all that was lost about the Kingdom in Adam - was spawned, Satan had hoisted its equally dangerous opposite on many religious groups for several hundreds of years. It was the doctrine of escapism whereby saints only existed on earth to "wait" for the day of the rapture. They were encouraged to see separation from the world as an excuse to be indifferent and irresponsible for fate of their societies and nations while on earth.
With heaven only latched onto their minds, saints were to give way for sinners to run the show here on earth while they daily looked up to see when the Rapture would occur. Consequently, saints refused to participate in a host of activities that would in any way advance the frontiers of human civilization. In one African nation, religious leaders even dissuaded their youth from spending five to six years in the University to study such specialized courses as Medicine, Pharmacy and Architecture. This irresponsible approach to waiting for the Kingdom to come was an act of direct disobedience to the commands of Jesus to "Occupy" till He comes as well as several injunctions for effective presence of saints on earth. Luke 19:10-28; Matthew 5:13-16;
Religion therefore is the system of worship which cripples the ability of saints to effectively represent Jesus Christ in the present dimension of the Kingdom by falsely 'hurrying' Him as it were to return before time. In a sense, this is the moral equivalent of selfishness.
Understanding the concept of Kingdom
The word Kingdom can best be understood by combination of two words: King and Domain or Dominion. A King is an absolute Monarch, a Potentate whose word is power and who exercises full authority over His subjects. Domain or Dominion is the sphere of influence of the King. Sphere can be territorial or functional. The Kingdom of God is the sphere of His rule where He exercises absolute authority. In His Kingdom, His subjects obey His laws and submit to His rule unconditionally.

Course 111: The Kingdom of God
Preamble
We are revisiting this course because God evidently wants to ensure that none of us walks in the dark concerning what His Kingdom means. In the past three years, He has granted us an understanding that the preaching of a subverted truth concerning the Kingdom of God will be one of the sure ways Satan would seek to deceive many. It is a trite thing to say that your belief system will affect the way you think; what you do and ultimately your eternal destiny. A wrong theology will lead both propagators and their adherents to the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, a certainty some pseudo-Kingdom teachers have described as mere Jewish allegory!
Eternity is such a critical subject that no one with the Spirit of God can take lightly. If a wrong doctrine of the Kingdom of God will lead many to Satan and eternal damnation, the love of Christ constrains us to spend and be spent in the process of engaging such minds with the truth so that they can hear, re-consider their ways and dogma and at least go to God in prayer to inquire which way is the Truth that leads to consummation of eternal life.
It is with that understanding that GSoM Course 111: The Kingdom of God is presented again in an enlarged form to enable all saints to prayerfully study and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the Truth therein. May none who profess and live out Kingdom Now miss the greater dimension which is The Kingdom to come, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen!
Concerning the Kingdom of God now and then.
The Kingdom which was lost with the disobedience of Satan was recovered judicially with the obedience of Christ unto death on the Cross Philippians 2: 1-11.. That judicial recovery paved the way for all who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to walk in a measure of authority that He carried as the King of the universe. That authority however is limited by the mystery of time. We are not yet in the fullness of time! At the present time, God still allows all manner of humans - both saints and sinners to enjoy His benefice per adventure they will receive Jesus and be saved Matthew 5:45,48. A day is coming however when time will be no more and the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of Christ and He will reign physically on this earth. Revelations 11:15; Revelation 20:1-6. In other words, we are in a season in between two dispensations: the dispensation where through preaching of the gospel of the Crucified God-Man, Jesus Christ, the judicial price was paid for redemption of all who believe Romans 1:16-18.

Course 104: The Fundamental Glorious Truths -

Glorious Truth #5: Grace - Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 1:3-11; Ephesians 2:1-10
The fifth of the Five Fundamental Glorious Truths which are part of the gift-package we receive from God is Grace. We come into the Kingdom of God and stand secure on it on His grace alone!
Romans 5:1-2
1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Grace is the sure basis of the new life of the redeemed. It is the strength and power of God in Christ that is freely made available to those who will receive it by faith. It is only by the grace of God that we are drawn to and come into the Kingdom. No one could ever come into the Kingdom of God through any other way! Because salvation is entirely a work of Grace, there is no room for boasting or reliance on dead works or religious observances to earn us a place in the Kingdom!
Ephesians 2:4-10
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
