Course 112: The Ascension Office Gifts (Five Fold Leadership Gifts) - Lesson #16:
Responsibilities of Saints to the reality of Ephesians 4:11-16
On the last day, all saints will give account of the life God gave them; of the salvation they received freely; of the providential care of God and of the gifts and callings they were redeemed to exercise for building up other saints, contribute to health of the Body and for how they faithfully served as Ambassadors of Christ and how they effectively participated in the Great Commission. No saint can plead ignorance because we all have access to the Bible which is the divine manual for life. No saint can plead that he or she was ineffective because the Pastor did not reveal the mind of God. Saints who are conscious of judgement day are obligated therefore to:
- By the Holy Spirit's help and in prayer, audit the gift and calling of their Pastors and leaders to ascertain how much of the five fold is impacting on them.
- If the church operates in limited understanding of the five fold or is closed to the fullness of the five fold, the saints are obligated to ask the Lord in prayer to guide them to other vessels to receive what is missing in the local assembly.
- Through media like face book, Television, Radio, Podcasts, Books, etc, the saints can fill up the missing measure of office gifts speaking into their lives.
- No saint should sit easy in a place where he/she is not receiving training; not being equipped; not being activated in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and not given any opportunity to exercise the gifts and callings of God. These experiences are their fundamental spiritual rights!
- If a local assembly or leader is totally closed or opposed to the ministry of the five fold, he or she loses the moral right to lead the saints in any way and should be denied support, including participation in the ministry!
- Any saint who is truly part of the remnant should 'come out' of any ministry which is structured on the religious Babylonian system. The Hallmarks include where the minister and his/her family 'own' the ministry and because of that are insecure to allow other fivefold offices to impart on and impact the flock! Such ministries will end up trading in the souls of saints and they may atrophy in their growth, backslide or apostasies completely. Revelation 18:13 is very revealing when read in the context of the whole chapter. Epilogue Part a
Epilogue: The Grand Purpose of the Five Fold
As Supreme Ruler of the universe, God is particular about how His subjects obey instructions. He has never been known to suffer gladly those who modify His express instructions and do anything according to their personal fancies. Adam and Eve lost the Kingdom and a world of matchless bliss because they allowed a third party, Satan, to confuse them and activate their souls to be the engine of their lives. In the process, they disconnected from God who desired to relate with them through their spirit-man. Adam and Eve, from that point, worshipped God according to what they felt and thought rather than how He wanted - complete submission to His will. Genesis 3:1-6.
God is Particular about His Design for everything!
God variously commended Moses for his faithfulness in building the Tabernacle of witness to the exact specifications received at the Mount. Here was a mobile sanctuary with a complex set of materials required to build and carry it round. Yet Moses instructed the builders and supervised their work so that the exact specifications of God were followed. The result is that
the express will of God was done.
Noah was a man whose life should challenge us. Living in an environment where there was no sea or record of a flood, he set out to produce the ark according to exact specifications from God. Laughed at by his generation, Noah was eventually vindicated when the rains came, the fountain of the deep broken and he and his immediate family as well as the animal species therein alone were saved. Genesis chapters 6, 7, 8.

Lesson #14 Office of Teacher part b
The Teaching Ministry in Biblical context
Each Kingdom is marked by four fundamental factors. One is a King with authority and Power; the second is a domain which is the sphere of his authority or power; the third is the Dominion or People who are subject to His Authority and the Fourth is the Constitution or Document which governs behaviour of citizens. The Sermon on the Mount was essentially an outline of the fundamental principles while the whole of the New Testament represents the Constitution of the present phase of Kingdom of God.
This Constitution needs to be taught by those who are called and who understand it. Getting involved in teaching these laws of the Kingdom without being called will result in an absolute mess! Those who proclaim that the Liberty of the Spirit implies absence of Law and Order are making a mockery of spiritual knowledge. Liberty and Order are two wings of the same bird that bring the balance and impetus needful to fly and remain airborne. If either wing is cut off, the bird cannot fly! Those who will teach need therefore to know, understand and rightly divide the Word of truth to ensure that the saints are properly nourished in a holistic manner which brings balanced growth and maturity. It is interesting that of all that Jesus could ever have instructed Peter when he went fishing after the death of His death the most profound was to "feed my sheep" John 21: 1- 17.
Jesus was essentially known as the Great Teacher. The words He spoke were authoritative and deep. He knew His spiritual identity as the One in whom all that Moses and the Prophets of Old pointed to. He knew that in Him was fulfilled the Law received at Sinai as well as the various ordinances which were given as a School Master to hold the people in check until He came to reveal the perfect way to serve God which is to receive a new heart that intuitively knows the Laws of God and lovingly lives them out by the power of the Holy Spirit who leads and empowers the saint to do what is well pleasing to the Father. Galatians: 19-29; Galatians 5:13-26
