Prayer Focus for Tuesday, April 3,
Day 4 of Jubilee Fast: Seeking First the Kingdom!
The core of The Jubilee Deal is an incredible offer of God to all humans. God offers to be these for His people:
1. Our Abba - personal Father with whom we have a vibrant relationship Matt. 6:9
Permanent access - because of the Blood Jesus shed at the Cross John 19:30; Hebrews 4:14-16; Heb 10:19-23
2. A life of Liberty & Freedom from the yoke of Satan and Sin; Deliverance from all oppression including the curse on Adam in Genesis 3:17-19; Curse of the law in Deuteronomy 28:15-68; free of bondage to worry, anxiety, fear, insecurity
3. A life filled with Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit - Romans 14:17-18
Provision of all our needs - Food, Clothes, Home, etc Matthew 6:19-32
A life filled with the security of His Presence and Power in the present dimension of His Kingdom; Participation in His Kingdom to Come when Jesus returns and eternal life with Him forever.
To sum up the Jubilee life God offers us, it is as follows: Liberty and Freedom from Satan and all evil including Sin; Restoration and Recovery of the life which is free of Satanic control and influence; Resting in God in all situations while the Holy Spirit does the Work thus eliminating worry, anxiety, fear, stress and negative emotions; Living by Grace and principle of Favour rather than struggle and hard labour! This is the life of heaven on earth!
The Way of God...
In the divine economy, God has ordained that man should have a free will and exercise choice to obey Him and partner with Him to create a 'heaven on earth' oasis of saints within this present world as a sure pointer that the Kingdom will function here on earth when Christ returns as Revelation 20:1-6 says.
Our Part:
For this reason, God is looking for those who will partner with Him by doing the human part of the deal which was sealed by the Blood of Jesus at the Cross:
1. Receive the free gift of salvation by Grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus at the Cross - John 3:16; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:1-10
2. Submit completely to Him in trust as a Responsible Father and King who cares for our every need and is able to supply them as and when due. For this to happen, we need to knowingly hand over our will and surrender it to the purpose and glory of God alone. This implies wilful death to self so that the purpose of God will prevail in all situations Matthew 16:24-26; Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 2:20.
3. Accordingly, hand over all needs and challenges in prayer of faith to Him to sort out - Matthew 7:7-11; 1 Peter 5:7; 2 Chronicles 20:15,17
4. Make His Kingdom our priority. Allow His will as King to dominate our consciousness and determine every activity and response to situations. Also to live and respond to every opportunity in the consciousness of eternity when the Kingdom is fully established. In other words to life today in the light of eternity.
5. Seeing ourselves as stewards, invest time, life and all assets He gives for optimal engagement in reconciling the lost to Him and building up saints to be who He made them to be 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8
6. As Ambassadors of His Kingdom before those who are yet to believe and systems of this world, be the Light which illuminates and the Salt which adds value and preserves from further corruption Matthew 5:13-16. Through our different 'other worldly life', let those of this world be reminded that Jesus lives as they see Him in us in all situations, especially when under pressure.
7. Take the place of God against Satan and his evil cohorts as they seek to spread the cover of darkness over all segments of life. 1 Corinthians 5:7 Ephesians 6:10-18
Prayer:
i). Let us intercede earnestly that starting with ourselves, God will enable us
to make the right choice to accept the Jubilee deal God offers us and see its manifestation in our lives.
ii). Let us also stand by faith to intercede for all saints to do likewise.
The life of saints will change dramatically if they life out Jubilee: Liberty and Freedom; Restoration and Recovery of the life which is free of Satanic control and influence; Resting in God in all situations while the Holy Spirit does the Work; Living by Grace and principle of Favour rather than struggle and hard labour!
iii). Add some personal prayer points that are relevant to your situation after reflecting on the Jubilee Deal. Be honest however with God: have you accepted His Jubilee Deal?
...The Jubilee Fasting & Prayer continues till Monday April 9. Fast whatever is convenient for you: breakfast, lunch or dinner! Whether dry or liquid is a personal choice but please respect advice of your doctor or particular health situation of your body. Do as led by the Holy Spirit to prepare yourself to hear clearly from God and deal with every thing limiting your capacity to function optimally as a citizen and Ambassador of the Kingdom of God whose life is clearly different from those around you!
