Greetings!
August has arrived with some of the nicest weather in years. There are many events that are scheduled for the month of August. Each newsletter for the next three weeks will focus on that weeks upcoming events. After we pass the month of August our newsletter will go to bi-weekly schedule and then monthly once we pass Columbus Day Weekend.
There are still many available dates for your next visit to the island. Flexibility is the key to making your stay work over the next 3 weeks. There are many options at our hotels and B&B's through out the mid week periods. You will be able to take advantage of many outdoor activities like these people in the photo above taking a relaxing kayak ride through the many boats and sailboats through out the harbor. Or you may want to take a day fishing trip to catch dinner for that night. There are also many other options to just get out on the water like a sunset cruise on the Endeavor.

Summer Availability! 
The weekends in August are extremely close to a total sell out, especially the Boston Pop's weekend August 12 & 13. We do keep a list of people who contact us in case any last minute cancellation do come up.
We update our availability daily to keep up on any last minute openings or cancellations. Availability will change through out any given day in the month of August. If we have found accommodations for your required dates it is recommend that you do not wait very long to get back to us. Some of our customers have called back too late and everything was reserved.
We also have weekly vacation rentals that are available if you are looking for an extended stay.

If your vacation is on Nantucket over the weekend of August 12 & 13 you will be here for one of the biggest events on island. The annual Boston Pops Concert is held on Jetties Beach to benefit the Nantucket Cottage Hospital. This years special guest is Carly Simon! You can not ask for a better backdrop for a such a wonderful event. The gates open at 4:30 to let visitors and locals converge on Jetties Beach to claim there spot to view this spectacular show. As the sun begins to set over the ocean and the band begins to play. You can feel the excitement of everyone around you as people stand and dance and cheer after each song. Once the sun has set and darkness has set in the orchestra will cue in for the start of fireworks. The Boston Pops and he fireworks over Nantucket Harbor is a sight not to be missed. For all of you that here and decide to attend the show, have a great time! |

For more than 39 years Nantucket Accommodations' staff of knowledgeable, year-round island residents has been helping visitors choose the right accommodations for their island visit. We visit each property and are familiar with the layout, decor, amenities and "overall ambiance" of each one.
We are available Monday-Friday from 9AM to 6PM, and Saturday from 9AM to 12PM, or send us an email outside of those hours and we will get back to you the next business day. Nantucket Accommodations is a local year round business assisting both visitors and locals alike.
