     September in Truro ... probably the best month ... average highs of 70 and lows of 55. Great month for plant growth.  Average rainfall is close to 3 inches on 5 days, on a par with August.

     Daylight hours will shorten by almost 3 minutes each day, giving us 12 1/2 hours of daylight on average for the month.

The Truro Ag Fair, Sunday, Sept 2, Truro Center

Truro Treasures Weekend, Sept 14-16
Mark your calendar on Sept 14, 15 and 16th for TRURO TREASURES WEEKEND.  Visit our web site www.trurotreasures.org and join the activities: Flea Market, Arts and Crafts Show, Art Auction, Car Show, 5K Race, and Golf Tournament.  Sunday evening Sept 16th at 6:00pm our Poetry and Prose Night returns to the First Parish Truro Meeting House (on Town Hall Hill).
   Get your tickets at the Truro Chamber of Commerce for the Truro Treasures Annual dinner at Adrian's 6:00PM on Sept 15th.  Italian Buffet Entertainment by Quahog Jazz Ensemble $25 per person (includes tax and gratuity) limited seating  Get your antiques together for appraisals on Sat. 11-2 at the Community Center--Artists or people who want to donate a piece of art for the silent auction go to our web site and download a form. Applications for our Scholarship  or Grants are due Oct. 1st

Free Residential Paper Shredding Day
The Truro, Wellfleet, and Eastham Recycling Committees will conduct a free residential paper shredding day for all those old documents taking up space in your closets and drawers. The event will take place in the Wellfleet Town Hall parking lot Saturday, October 6th, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. More...
