ThisMonthThis month in Truro ...  

     June in Truro is historically 10 degrees warmer than May.  Frost risk has passed (hopefully). 2.7 inches of rain typically falling on about 5 days. Historic average highs of 72°F and lows of 56°F

     Daylight hours will continue to lengthen by 40 minutes as we reach the peak day length on the Summer Solstice, June 20, marking the beginning of summer. On that day the sun will rise at 5:04 A.M. and set at 8:20 P.M. giving us 15 hours and 16 minutes of daylight

     Below are some of the activities and events happening about town this month.

Council on Aging

There is so much going on at the Council on Aging in June!  Take a trip with us to Sandwich and visit the Heritage Museums and Gardens on Friday, June 22nd. We have free Memory Screening conducted by Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, a shopping trip to Trader Joe's in Hyannis and much, much more!!! Check out all the programs and activities offered by the Truro Recreation Department.

Highland Links Golf Course
Highland Links had over 500 golfers over the Memorial Day Weekend.   As we move into June and guests arrive it is time to start planning your golf outings.

The 8th Annual Ocean to the Bay 5 mile run/walk took place on Memorial Day Weekend.  The American Lighthouse Foundation awarded the Highland Lighthouse the "Keeper of the Light Award." More...
