     May in Truro is historically 9 to 10 degrees warmer than April, with no days reaching below freezing. 3.6 inches of rain, badly needed after a dry April. Historic average highs of 62°F and lows of 46°F

     Daylight hours will continue to lengthen by 72 minutes.

Annual Town Election - May 8
The Truro Annual Town Election will be held Tuesday, May 8th from 7 am to 8 pm at the Truro Community Center, 7 Standish Way.    See the sample town ballot here

Council on Aging

Come and join us in May at the Truro COA.  We are hosting a VNA Health Fair, another series of Cooking Classes with Chef Heather Bailey, and educating people on a Herbal Medicine Garden, among other activities. Check our website or read more in the COA Log.

Last call for the 1st annual golf tournament and dinner: "Tee Off for TCS", Sunday, May 20th, 10am shotgun start.  Please read about the event, and register.

Highland Lighthouse Annual Road Race            
The 8th Annual Ocean to the Bay 5 mi. run/walk will take place on Saturday May 26th at 9:00 AM. Online registration

Deputy Assessor
Linda V. Maloney, the Deputy Assessor for the past eleven years, retired as of April 15, 2012. The Board of Assessors members and the Assessor's Office staff thank her for her long and dedicated service to the Town of Truro and wish her all the best in her retirement. We welcome Belinda Eyestone who was hired to fill the position of Deputy Assessor as of April 25, 2012.
